1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Microphone for its price

Pros: Quality

Cons: Picks up too much.
Lack of options
No way to stop it from picking up ton of bass.

Other Thoughts: This microphone should be used in a studio only.. do not ever use it with a computer on say google voice or skype or anything like that. If you do, plan on getting a boom or something like that for it. And deal with a 5 foot metal pole next to you.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a Yeti!

Pros: Sounds great.
Many adjustment options.
Can pick up the quietest of sounds.
Easy setup

Cons: Only thing that would make this better is if it had software to communicate with your speakers.

Other Thoughts: This is amazing. For years I have used a wireless headset laying on my desk to pick up my voice while using my surround sound to listen. I finally got tired of my headset dieing and did not want a new headset so I decided to buy a mic. There where a few mics from this company that got amazing reviews, I decided to go all out and just get this one even though it cost the most. I was not disappointed. All you have to do is plug it in and it works. Amazing! Then I spent about 20 minutes adjusting everything to make it sound right. (controller on back of mic, twitch, obs, skype, speakers, ect) It sounded amazing for this. I have it sitting about 3 inches from my desk speaker so I had to turn the mic to directional to help with that. I did have to tweak it some to make sure my friends did not hear themselves when they talked but I was able to get it to work threw skype without loosing sound quality. I have a mechanical keyboard and my mouse is just as loud on clicking, the mic picked it up, but was barley noticeable. Taping on the desk is very noticeable but I don't need to tab dance on my desk luckily. The only thing that would make this better is if there was software to make the mic auto cancel the sound that comes threw my speakers. Since they sit so close that would help. (You can just move the mic to a location not 3 inches from the speaker but I am stubborn when it comes to how my desk looks) Over all this is amazing, completely worth the cost if your willing to spend the 20 minutes it might take to configure it to how you want it. Sounds amazing and I use it all the time for twitch streams and skype calls with no issues.

5 out of 5 eggsLOVE THIS MIC!

Pros: Easy to use/set up, great sound! I use this mic to make youtube videos. Once I figured out how to tweak the settings, I've been in love ever since!

Cons: Super sensitive. Unless you put it on a boom, it'll pic up every vibration from the desk it sits on. I have mine on some padding so it does not pick up the slight vibration my computer tower emits.

Other Thoughts: This mic is high quality for a low price. It seems oversized at first but you get so used to it you barely notice it after a while.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes the job; no complaints

Pros: I like that it has the phono output jack on it. This makes my life much easier. Combined with the adjustable gain, I can literally listen to my music and ALSO listen to things around me - namely the girl. That means, when I'm jamming out, I can still hear her beckoning - which is... nice? It keeps me out of trouble. I work a lot at home and it makes the relationship better. So I've got that going for me, which is nice.

Cons: It's pretty big. I also recommend the pop filter, although it's really, really finicky to mount.

I also recommend getting the isolator bundgy cord sort of thing. That keeps noise down when doing screencasts or similar.

Other Thoughts: For the price, it's not bad at all. I'm impressed. It's really big, though...

1 out of 5 eggsShoddy Mic

Pros: sounds good

Cons: Durability IS a problem! I had to buy 2 mics. The first one died just past it's warranty, (1 yr?) and the next one died 2 weeks before the warranty expired (1 yr I hope) These things sound good.. but they are not built to last at all. YOU WILL experience problems with the usb connector I guarantee it. First one failed until you wiggled the wire and then you only got one side of the mic to work. the other, dead as a door nail no matter how much you try to get it to work. DO NOT waste your money. Worse yet, when I tried to get the first one replaced, the one they sent out was a different model, and it was DOA. I opted to go with the Yeti one to get the work done on time and now.. a year later.. back to square one. NOT GOOD! If I could I would give it ZERO EGGS.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible Sound Quality

Pros: Fantastic sound quality for a Mic in this price range. We make training videos for our department and this took the audio to a whole new level. The directional setting on the Mic actually work and function as described. Range and clarity are much more than expected.
We purchased this based on so many good reviews and the positives were right.
The base is solid and stable. Forward placed mute button can be a life saver and avoid editing later.

Cons: Finding a shock mount for this device has been a challenge. the diameter is 2 5/8" and much wider than most off the shelf mounts will support.

Other Thoughts: Because of the sensitivity of this Mic, we purchased the Blue pop filter as well. It does mount and works well.

4 out of 5 eggsNot for speech recognition

Pros: excellent sound, easy to use, picks up well from inches away or from 3 feet away. Adjustable gain.

Cons: picks up typing noise and most ambient noise, needs to be used in a quiet environment.

Other Thoughts: Hoped it might work for speech recognition from a 2-3 foot distance. Recognizes well, but too much ambient noise in my environment to continue using it, switched to a noise cancelling microphone that must be used from <4 inches from mouth.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent so far...

Pros: Had this mic for a few months and can say it definitely is a great pickup. Picks up everything so if you have loud fans, turn them down. There is NO crackling at all. NONE. I've had that problem with a few mic's and was VERY relieved to find none at all with this one. I have made a few videos and the quality is great. Mic is also heavy and solid throughout which for me makes it feel authentic. Aesthetically it is very pleasing!

Cons: It picks up the smallest sounds/vibrations so you kind of have to be still the entire time you are recording. Minor issue...

Other Thoughts: Also has 4 settings for four different scenarios. (Interviewing situations, podcasts, one sided for self videos, and the other escapes me). Very versatile.
