Pros: The sound quality of the Blue Yeti can't be match. You will sound so crisp that you'll sound like a different person. Super easy to install just plugin and use. Underneath the mic itself there is a headphone jack. Its nice not having to plug my headphones into the computer itself. Multiple ways of using this mic. IMO totally worth the $150.00. Save up and get the Yeti instead of the snowball

Other Thoughts: I bought this mic initially for gaming because I want to sound as clear as possible. I use teamspeak to talk over the internet and teamspeak can't even use this mic to the full potential due to mic lag. Anyways this mic is awesome. It is studio quality!

Pros: As a producer and engineer, I'm always looking to make the home studio more accessible and portable, this is your answer. WITHOUT DOUBT this is the BEST USB Microphone on the market, made by none other than industry leaders BLUE MICROPHONES. All you need is a laptop and your favorite recording software and you have studio quality sound at your fingertips. This condenser mic has multiple polar patterns, a 3.5mm jack for latency free monitoring with a volume knob right on the front and a microphone gain knob on the back. With a reflection screen and a pop filter this mic will not be matched.

Pros: Solid build, noise isolation, loads of options.

Cons: Sounds a little like you are in a booth, cuts out too much ambient noise for video podcasts or live studio audiences.

Other Thoughts: So having a triple webcam set up for live switching with Wirecast, I thought I'd like a nice pro mic. I was not looking for a mic like this, but I had seen them around and wanted to give it a shot.

My problem is that in a situation where you shoot video podcasts, the audio is too sanitized. It sounds nasal and the total cut off of ambient room noise was a but freaky and unnatural while watching the playback. Kinda like it was noise cancelled. Sitting two comedians infront of a live audience and not hearing the applause or laughter was rough, no matter what settings I employed.

If I needed to do audiobooks, or voice overs I don't think I'd want any other mic, but for me, this sucker had to get shelved.

Pros: Presents a lot of options with a pretty high quality device. With all the options and the quality of the recording, I'm already debating setting up some soundproofing due to it picking up the near silent fan on my pc.

Cons: None really. It's a great product for the price.

Other Thoughts: Youll want a pop filter with this.

Pros: Sound quality is excellent. I love the 4 different patterns that this mic provides.

This mic is heavy and large, which I like. It is about a foot tall and is about the size of a small thermos.

Overall, I recommend this product. Audio quality is amazing. Well worth the price.

The monitoring of the mic is done at the mic as the Blue Yeti has its own sound card in it.

Cons: If you connect this to a USB 3 port, you will get annoying latency from the side tone. Not sure why that is a problem, but it is. Tried it on two computers and they both had the same latency problems.
Really annoying to hear your voice a fraction of a second after you speak. Makes for a very confusing situation.
After installing in a USB 2 port, all is well.

I guess that this mic is not USB3 rated yet?

Other Thoughts: Fairly pricey for a microphone. But it is worth the price as the mic is one of the better ones out there. Great for Skype calls too!

Pros: This is an amazing Microphone. It picks up everything! I use it on skype and people can hear me tap the wall a good five feet away.

Cons: Picks up Everything! to the point that I have to wait for no one to be home, there air is not on, and I am just sittng on the floor to avoid making sound when tring to voice work. (not really a con)

Other Thoughts: I know atleast two of my friend have bought one, and Another is on the fence about it, he has the Snowball. Would suggest to anybody looking for a good microphone.
