5 out of 5 eggsAll needs met, and at a good price

Pros: - Mic has high quality sound, especially for streaming and recording
- stand is rock solid, bought the add'l pop filter, great combo
- plug and play, will work immediately on most computers

Cons: - one nitpicking, not easy for travel, if using in combo with laptop or mobile usage, takes up space and weight

Other Thoughts: - Absolutely worth the price, recommend for anyone looking to start streaming, or professional recording with good quality

3 out of 5 eggsEasy to setup and use. Excellent quality for the price.

Pros: I play games a lot and I do a lot of streaming. I used this on my PC and it worked very well. It was as easy as plugging it in and checking my recording devices to make sure it was enabled. Updates are fast and easy to do from their website.

Cons: One major con to me, and it is the reason I am actually returning the item, is that this item is considered to be an "audio device" on the PS4. The problem with that is that I use Astro A40's and A50's. They're my audio device. PS4 will not allow you to choose Audio Input as the A40/A50 and the output as the Blue Yeti Microphone. If you want to use the Blue Yeti it'll have to be BOTH the Audio Input and the Audio Output. You can get around this and use an external power source for the Astro headset and having the Audio Input as the Blue Yeti and the Output as the TV (don't ask why it lets you have them different here, I don't know). The problem with doing this is that the headset then gets a terrible reverb. It's horrendous. There's no fix to this, and I'm not going to stop using my 7.1 surround sound headset to use a $100 microphone.
Blue Yeti needs to make these a microphone only, or give you the option to toggle it to do so.

Other Thoughts: If you us this on PC I strongly recommend it, however, don't plan on using it on any console.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Company Sent It

Pros: This microphone is a fantastic mic for whatever you need it for.

Cons: It is quite a large microphone and if you have a microphone suspension of any kind you need to buy the yeti specific boom or it won't fit in anything else.
Make sure all of the options work, that was my problem and I am still trying to get mine returned.

Other Thoughts: All in all a great microphone. Just a bad company that sent the microphone, don't do business with Focus Camera. It is past my 30 day return policy and still haven't gotten a word out of them.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat sound, lousy customer service

Pros: Variety of patterns
Sensitive diaphragms
Low noise

Cons: Heavy
Customer "service" does not seem eager to serve

Other Thoughts: I picked it up when Samson Go Mic wasn't cutting its mustard any longer. I wanted higher quality, and having read a lot about this microphone, I finally decided to spend the money. Well, I can tell you, judging by the quality of the sound you get, it's worth it. If only it lasted. With gentle use (weekly sessions lasting a couple of hours each), it barely served me a year. What went bad in it I can't say, but it was electrical, not mechanical. That thing was babied, I assure you. It started producing noise even when muted, both through the USB and in the headphones. Two year warranty is a good thing, or so I thought. Contacted them, and... This exchange is still dragging on. It's been three weeks or so.

They are very slow to reply to a complaint. And what can you do? Nothing. First they want you to perform a variety of tests on it (assuming you're an idiot and plugged it into the wrong place, or use wrong software, or fiddled with the knobs too much). Then, after they warn you that they will send it to you back if nothing turns out wrong with it, they issue you the RMA number. I'm on the East coast, so it takes about a week for it to arrive to their office on the other side of the continent (not to mention it costs more than $20 to send it). Then it's going to sit there for a few days before they actually take it and test it just to find out that it's indeed broken... Then they will let you know (in another business day). How long it's going to take them to actually send you another, supposedly working, piece, is not known to me yet. I am still waiting for mine...

Their service is not the worst in the world. But they do not seem interested in you - you've already spent your money. The concept of "word of mouth" is still new to them, I'm guessing.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Microphone!

Pros: - Great sound quality, never had a problem in that field
- Nice look, definitely not an eye-sore on my desk
- Different sound capture features are nice to have readily avaliable
- Pretty versatile, can pretty much be stood anywhere
- VERY powerful pickup, I can record myself clear across the room!

Great microphone overall

Cons: - Microphone + stand is fairly heavy
- Headphone jack broke after a couple months of use (due to excessive unplugging and plugging in headphones)
- LED can get annoying at some points but nothing terrible due to the fact that you can unplug it

Overall, the cons do not out-weigh the pros. This mic is great!

Other Thoughts: Overall, this microphone is extremely nice. Never had a problem with it (other than the jack) and it works very well for videos, etc. I would definitely recommend this product to other people.

2 out of 5 eggsDurability Is A Problem

Pros: Great plug and play mic, nothing more and nothing less.

Cons: Started failing the 5th month of owning this product, and completely failing soon after. Blue support is also slow.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Quality

Pros: Very clear and has gain control. It also has multiple settings for different areas

Cons: Needs to come with a stand

Other Thoughts: Amazing mic offers true to life sound. I found myself having to change y recording software so it was as hd as the mic.

1 out of 5 eggsFailed at exactly 30 days

Pros: Well I supposed it was good while it lasted. Granted I was plugging it in directly to my usb port on my computer which caused some distortion.

Cons: 3 of the 4 knob settings stopped working flat out. As in no sound would be picked up by the microphones. The first setting still worked but the volume and gain options didn't. And how wonderful that it died just hours after my RMA options expired from newegg. So now I get to deal with Blues tech support come Monday morning.

Out of the box its nothing special. You need to spend some time with the settings. But once you get it homed in it starts acting like a microphone worth the price... if it lasts.

Other Thoughts: At this rate I'm not sure if I want an RMA or my money back.
