Feel the enemy coming with the Audio FX force feedback headset from eDimensional. The over-ear cups have a directional force feedback effect so you know where things are coming from without having to think about it. LEDs on the outside of the cups act as level meters so everyone can see the intensity of your gaming.
The 10mm condenser microphone has built in noise cancellation so it picks up your speech and ignores the environmental sounds that could make your team communications unclear. The flexible boom puts the mic right where you want it. The inline controls output volume and can mute the microphone when you don’t want your teammates to hear you.

Pros: Well, I read all the other reviews (both negative and positive) and decided to give these headphones a try. I am glad I did! These headphones absolutely ROCK for high-action gaming! I've been playing FEAR and keep jumping out of my seat for how great these things sound and the effective way they pull you into the game. The rumble and the roar, the force of explosions and gunfire can be felt! Wow!!! These are incredible! I wondered (before I purchased these) if the force feedback would be an annoyance (because of the constant vibration next to the ears), but I am happy to say that it is not. Your brain will think it's simply powerful and loud low bass, but the added benefit is feeling the vibration of explosions and gun shots. Wow! Very cool! The other good news is that you're not going to kill your ear drums with these... just rattle your brains (haha). For games I give these 5 stars and a hearty A+! The mic works well too.
Cons: Yes, there are some cons too (like other reviewers have also mentioned), however, these will not be a distraction to most gamers. If you are looking for a good headset for music, this is NOT your headset. It's adequate but there is a very noticeable difference between the effect experienced from gaming as opposed to music. Music is flat-sounding and bass effects here are weak as well. In games the vibration in exchange for bass works because most of the bass effects in games refers to explosions, gunfire, footsteps, crashes, etc. so it effectively immerses you in the experience, but in music you need to hear the lower bass melodies and vibration is no substitute! The other con is there is a noisy, static sound. This, however, is only a minor nuissance when gaming. Most games have enough active sound that you will never notice this.
I bought these to enhance games so I was not disappointed by the results of music playback.
Other Thoughts: If you are reading this and the other reviews and wavering because of the negatives, let me assure that I am NOT unhappy with my purchase! These headphones are AWESOME for that which they are intended - GAMING! I am personally a fan of first-person shooters like FEAR, HL2, UT2004, QUAKE4, etc. and these headphones are everything you've dreamed of for playing these types of games! Even other games are good too, but in the more stealth-based games like Splinter Cell, you do notice the background noise slightly more, but not enough to dissapoint. These are great for games and simply suck for music. Let that help you determine your reason for purchasing these. Happy headphone hunting! :)

Great Headset

Pros: Fantastic Sound Good mic LEDs are kinda cool Comfortable (for me perfect)
Cons: my ears start to hurt after about 5 hours but haha what headphones wouldnt hurt after that long!
Other Thoughts: Overall this is the best headset ive ever owned....the only reason i dont take them in the car with my audio in there is that i would look like a loser but the LEDs are kinda neat and a big thing for me is...you know how guys say i have it cranked all the way up...well i dont because i cant take it i only turn theses all the way up to impress my friends :) these headphones are great for gaming and i use them with teamspeak in everygame i play on my computer...the audio is just fantastic quality with my onboard audio..lets just say i bought these a few monthes back and i use them for games and i happen to have them on right now and i have been jammin on them for about 1.5 hrs...so after all that the real purpose u read reviews is to see if u really want to buy this product and i can say this headset is great for casual and hardcore computer users who want surround sound without dealing with speakers which is exactly what this is so to sum it all up just buy this headset

Cons: -Extremely irritating hiss when "Vibration" (Bass) is activated. -Even when "Vibration" is turned off there is still feedback/static when nothing is playing.
Other Thoughts: Both the Feedback/Static and Hiss can be drowned out by keeping the volume turned up high, but the microphone picks up the vibrations from headphones and thus makes you inaudible to other players.
Unfortunately, I now only turn the vibration on for single player games.

Packaging is Hilarious

Pros: On the front of the packaging, there is a picture of a very attractive girl with serious cleavage wearing the headset. She is smiling in a very seductive manner. "Vibration is Good!", she exclaims. Though I got quite a laugh out of this, it tells you something about the quality of this particular headset. Reminiscent of the browser based MMO, Evony, these headphones are not nearly as wonderful as the models they use.
Cons: The first thing I look for in a headset is comfortability. Ideally, I would like to be able to wear them indefinitely without my ears turning red with pain. I was only able to wear these for about an hour before I had to take them off and return to my speakers. Of course, with any headset you want quality sound. These actually deliver rather well on that front... Until you turn on the Force Feedback. The mechanics of the vibration system cause a constant white noise effect from the moment you flip the switch. Now, this is bad in itself, but the rest of the sound suffers as well. Everything becomes slightly less sharp. Now, the system does do a good job of delivering a good simulated deep bass, but it isn't enough to be worthwhile.
Other Thoughts: The other thing is the light effects. I can't actually tell you much about them since I never actually noticed they were there, but the crowd of people in my basement watching me play Global Agenda could tell exactly how "intense" my gaming is. Maybe it would be cool at a LAN party or something, but it just seems like a silly gimmick.
All in all, I probably wouldn't recommend these to anyone wanting a headset that has quality sound and quality comfort.

Pros: quite a different setup for a pair of headphones. love the force feedback. adds a whole new feeling to games and music. everyone that tried them on was very surprised and impressed.
Cons: im not a music techie. if it sounds good and clear....then im happy. bought these for my son for xmas at a surprising $25.00, and free shipping. unfortunately, the microphone has gone bye-bye....and yes...its just outside of the warranty period. i would be much more unhappy had it not been for the sale price, however...even at 25.00 they should work longer than a month.
Other Thoughts: this is my first review of a product from newegg. this is also the first problem i have had with a product from newegg. i still would suggest this item to anyone looking for a different experience in gaming or music. appears i just drew the short straw this time. it happens.
