Feel the enemy coming with the Audio FX force feedback headset from eDimensional. The over-ear cups have a directional force feedback effect so you know where things are coming from without having to think about it. LEDs on the outside of the cups act as level meters so everyone can see the intensity of your gaming.

The 10mm condenser microphone has built in noise cancellation so it picks up your speech and ignores the environmental sounds that could make your team communications unclear. The flexible boom puts the mic right where you want it. The inline controls output volume and can mute the microphone when you don’t want your teammates to hear you.

  • newegg Powerful Surround Sound The eDimensional AudioFX delivers amazing 3D in-game surround sound, letting you feel the power of explosions with amplified bass vibrations for the ultimate gaming experience.
  • newegg Noise-canceling Microphone The eDimensional AudioFX features a high-quality microphone certified for superior voice recognition and noise cancellation, making it ideal for VoIP and voice recognition applications.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great headset: surround sound is excellent and I paired it with a Creative X-Fi Fatality Pro sound card and it matched perfectly. I'm slightly hearing impaired and without a doubt the combination of the two brought sounds to full volume and tone. Sound quality is impeccable, 3d sound works well, and I love them. Microphone quality is great, comes through crystal clear since day 1 and everyone that needs to hear me can. After getting Bose headphones back a while and then I got these when they broke I haven't looked back since. Absolute great buy.

The cord is long enough to reach anywhere I need, the volume control is handy, comfortable to wear even under long conditions, lightweight, and the vibrate function works much like a built in sub-woofer. Very nicely done.

Cons: Have had this headset for over a year now and am still pondering on the idea of liking a microphone mute switch on the control slide along the cord. Output volume control is good but having that microphone mute switch would have been a nice addition.

Other Thoughts: This has been a great headset for nearly everything I've done and love it. After its wear and tear the microphone boom has become worn and has now fallen out of the socket and the swivel has also become work making it loose. However, expected after a period of time it is rather short for my preference, but that is not stopping me from buying another set until I can buy the newer 5+1 headset. 5 stars from me eDemensional. :D

1 out of 5 eggsJunk with No Support

Pros: Good sound quality.

Cons: Very uncomfortable, can't use it for more than 30 minutes at a time without my ears getting mad at me.

If I turn on the vibration feature I hear a high pitched whine that does not go away (despite tweaking the volume on the knob and on the pc). The vibration feature is a joke anyway, so I didn't mind not using it.

SOUND WENT OUT AFTER 1 MONTH. I can still hear the sound but it's crackly and barely audible. It's not my PC, I tested them on a friends computer with the same results.

I have tried to contact their technical support but do not respond. BBB here I come.

Other Thoughts: I recommend steering clear of anything made by eDimensional

3 out of 5 eggsCheap look and feel

Pros: Boom mic is nice, audio quality for gaming is good. padding is nice

Cons: These are not "over the ear" cups like higher quality headsets (or my ears are overly large). No drivers or utilities are included and the website isn't easy to find. I have yet to experience the "force feedback", but I didn't load the driver yet either.

Other Thoughts: I probably got what I paid for... I fully expected to pay $130+ for the features on this headset (my alternative was the Logitech G35), so I'm not terribly disappointed... yet. If I can't get the force feedback to work, I'll probably try to return these. Right now, I can get the same functionality out of my $3.00 (auction price) Logitech, behind the neck, headset. :-\

4 out of 5 eggsGood, but Fragile

Pros: Had this sweet pair for a little over two years. All the components are still functional and it still kicks out some decent audio. They sit very comfortable on the ears and over the head. Mic is crisp and clear. I found it very sensitive to sound, yet it would never crackle out on me. The rumble feature is really fun when blowing stuff up or shooting guns in video games! Side lights provide a decent light show in the dark as well. One great plus for these is that they don't require drivers or anything like a lot of new headphones are starting to - just plug it into a standard 3.5mm jack (like the one on your motherboard) and enjoy (the USB is there solely for powering the rumble and lights).

Cons: Protect these from falling at ALL costs! My brother had these fall a few times onto carpeted floor and the rumble feature, the lights, and one of the speakers died. I dropped these only once and now one of the speakers just dangles by the wires. I tried repairing it, but found it impossible to do so; it has a cheap plastic 'key' that holds it into the headband. Once fractured off, consider your phones busted. It's also excruciating to reassemble.

Other Thoughts: These work awesome for gaming but not so much for professional audio applications. I'd recommend keeping these somewhere safe where they aren't bound to fall. The fragility of these phones is really the only disadvantage to owning them. I'd probably buy these again, though I'd be sure to keep them in a safer place next time.

3 out of 5 eggsAnnoying Hiss!!!!

Pros: -Awesome Bass
-Good Comfort
-Great Mic

Cons: -Extremely irritating hiss when "Vibration" (Bass) is activated.
-Even when "Vibration" is turned off there is still feedback/static when nothing is playing.

Other Thoughts: Both the Feedback/Static and Hiss can be drowned out by keeping the volume turned up high, but the microphone picks up the vibrations from headphones and thus makes you inaudible to other players.

Unfortunately, I now only turn the vibration on for single player games.

2 out of 5 eggsPackaging is Hilarious

Pros: On the front of the packaging, there is a picture of a very attractive girl with serious cleavage wearing the headset. She is smiling in a very seductive manner. "Vibration is Good!", she exclaims.
Though I got quite a laugh out of this, it tells you something about the quality of this particular headset. Reminiscent of the browser based MMO, Evony, these headphones are not nearly as wonderful as the models they use.

Cons: The first thing I look for in a headset is comfortability. Ideally, I would like to be able to wear them indefinitely without my ears turning red with pain. I was only able to wear these for about an hour before I had to take them off and return to my speakers.
Of course, with any headset you want quality sound. These actually deliver rather well on that front... Until you turn on the Force Feedback. The mechanics of the vibration system cause a constant white noise effect from the moment you flip the switch. Now, this is bad in itself, but the rest of the sound suffers as well. Everything becomes slightly less sharp. Now, the system does do a good job of delivering a good simulated deep bass, but it isn't enough to be worthwhile.

Other Thoughts: The other thing is the light effects. I can't actually tell you much about them since I never actually noticed they were there, but the crowd of people in my basement watching me play Global Agenda could tell exactly how "intense" my gaming is. Maybe it would be cool at a LAN party or something, but it just seems like a silly gimmick.

All in all, I probably wouldn't recommend these to anyone wanting a headset that has quality sound and quality comfort.

3 out of 5 eggsfigures

Pros: quite a different setup for a pair of headphones. love the force feedback. adds a whole new feeling to games and music. everyone that tried them on was very surprised and impressed.

Cons: im not a music techie. if it sounds good and clear....then im happy. bought these for my son for xmas at a surprising $25.00, and free shipping. unfortunately, the microphone has gone bye-bye....and yes...its just outside of the warranty period. i would be much more unhappy had it not been for the sale price, however...even at 25.00 they should work longer than a month.

Other Thoughts: this is my first review of a product from newegg. this is also the first problem i have had with a product from newegg. i still would suggest this item to anyone looking for a different experience in gaming or music. appears i just drew the short straw this time. it happens.

1 out of 5 eggsunsatisfactory

Pros: -sound comes out of the headset.
-has a functional mic.
-cool name... how could anyone resist the eDimensional Audio FX 3.5 Millimeter Circumaural (?) Force Feedback GAMING Headset? i couldn't.

Cons: -really uncomfortable. one of my ears would always hurt after more than an hour of using the headset.
-the force feedback is an absolute joke. it feels like the rumble feedback from the old dual shock playstation controllers, except the feeling is now crammed up in your ear canals.

Other Thoughts: i gave mine away to my old college roommate. i think he pawned it off or something.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent headset

Pros: I have owned this headset for 10 months now and it has not failed me once as of yet. In game audio sounds absolutely incredible, crystal clear mic as well.

Cons: Wouldn't recommend it for music lovers, definitely a gaming headset. That's what it's advertised as after all.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a solid gaming headset for a reasonable price this one is a perfect fit.
