Pros: 1) GREAT sound! 2) Sats have a midrage and a tweeter in them! Not just a full range driver 3) Sub is full 8 inches, can hit lower frequencies, and isn't boomy sounding. 2) Decent dize
Cons: 3) Cost, kinda.
Other Thoughts: Sound on this system is great. Clear, balanced, and strong. No real distortion, bass is solid without being overwhelming. Hits pretty low as well, it's not just boomy like some systems. Highs are clear. I would like it to play a bit louder, but I listen to music at unusually high volumes. The control pod is easy to use, though, I wish it was a little smaller. Cost is a bit high for a computer speaker system, but it's well worth it.

Clearer, fatter, better
Reviewed By: Peeedo123 on 8/31/2009
Tech Level: high - Ownership: less than 1 day
Pros: -Has a great balanced sound, but can be easily tweaked for more bass if you are into that -300w -Powerful sound, no tones are lost -Clarity throughout the range and volume levels -Very attractive speakers -Finding the "sweet spot" is not as hard with regular speakers -THX certified -Excellent sound with music as well as games and movies -Inputs and outputs are plenty -Controller pod is cool, attractive -No ugly parts at all
Cons: At the time of writing, the price tag is $300. That is a lot for a 2.1 system. I'll wait for Razer to put out new speakers (which, because of this major accomplishment they have here, hopefully they have in the works) so these come down in price. Control pod does take about 2 minutes to understand and after that it feels natural.
Other Thoughts: While I don't personally own these, I have had several opportunities to experience them at conferences, stores, boutiques, friend's houses and conventions. I've been able to sit down with these speakers and a computer and spend an hour just exploring everything. I've compared these, side by side, with what reviews claim as their biggest rival-the logitech z-2300's. These blow the logitech z-2300's away easily. No comparison. The logitech speakers get muddy in the bass on louder volumes and highs are tinny at low to medium volumes. These are clear throughout. Get these, I know I will.

I mean 4 Stars

Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
Pros: Very cool looking, well built. Touch controller is sweet. Very good sound, the sub can really thump. Highs and mids are near perfect.
Cons: To get good sound out of these you need your computer volume to be around 75 and also any program you use to play music should be at around 75% of maximum volume. These makes them sound 10x better. Some other adjustments can be necessary to get the best sound and this is why I rate these speakers at 4 stars. It can take a lot of tweaking to get the best sound for games, music, etc.
Other Thoughts: This is my second review, its a revision of my 3 star review "Bass is an Issue" I bought these on another site with the same name as a famous river. 5+3 / 2 is 4.
