4 out of 5 eggsgood low end speakers

Pros: Good volume
Nice bass
easy controls
has a digital connection

Cons: digital connection has to be selected every time you power it on. It will not keep this setting.

Other Thoughts: I use this for connecting an MP3 player and for DVD player. I would buy it again

4 out of 5 eggsLights On update

Pros: User reviews that have usable information

Cons: Support's response to optical "issue" was a C&P from the P poor manual. Follow up emails were equally pointless. Humble pie tastes awful.

Other Thoughts: thanks to the reviewer with the 3 second tip.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Performance

Pros: Excellent sound for the price. I am over all very happy with my purchase. All components have a quality feel.

Cons: sub is subtle. This is okay and does give a true sound however if your looking for something that hits hard this sub isnt it. Its more precise.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat sound

Pros: im no audiophile but they sound amazing at all sound levels. skrillex has never sounded so good (except live).

Cons: sattelite speaker cabels are too short and limited where i could place the sub.

Other Thoughts: for everyone who couldnt get the digital optical cable i played around with my sound card trying to get it to work but all i had to do its hold the mode select button for 3 sec to change to digital

2 out of 5 eggsLights on, nobody home

Pros: Black Friday price (but only just) , decent sound, connection options (if they all work) Solid build quality.

Cons: 3D must have been forced upon engineering by the folks at marketing, I clearly cannot hear more than 2 D's. Optical port not Opting. The two ash trays stuck to the front of the satellites

Other Thoughts: bought his as the least expensive means to use optical input with a WD TV Live Plus and it is the only port not working. I see light on from WD through TOS Link but no sound from the System. Antec Support appears to by run by the marketing dept. This will be relegated to serve as speakers for a PC

5 out of 5 eggsAntec Soundscience

Pros: These speakers sound great! For the money, you can't beat them. Some people may be upset by the lack of bass the sub puts out, however, the reason for this is because most speaker system have too much bass. This is a very balanced system and is great for individuals who love clarity when listening to music or videogames.

Cons: The 3D sucks, but I didn't get it for that. However, it does have a digital out which is great for individuals wanting better sound quality.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat speakers, bad shipment

Pros: Truly awesome sound. Incredibly loud, powerful subwoofer and great sound reproduction. Solid build. These speakers were a steal coupled with the $100 off promo.

Cons: - Useless 3d mode
- Unintuitive clunky controller
- No bass control on controller, bass only has 3 settings

Other Thoughts: The speakers I received in the mail about a week ago were defective. The left satellite and subwoofer worked fine, but the right satelite produced an unbearable static sound on higher volumes. I was able to try them out for a few days by just not plugging in my right speaker and they still sounded great for not being complete. The part that annoys me is that I have to now go through the hassle of sending them back and having to go another week without speakers. On top of that I now have to pay yet another $13 for shipping, on top of an already very expensive shipping cost to begin with. It's a drag, but I suppose it could happen with anything you buy from anywhere so I can't really complain.

Overall, I definitely recommend you to get these speakers because they sound amazing for their price tag. Don't regret my purchase at all.

2 out of 5 eggssound good, volume pod breaks

Pros: I received these speakers in December 2010 and I was impressed with the nice heft of the satellites. They looked great and felt solid. The subwoofer was compact and the whole took up very little space. There are a lot of connectivity options for analog and digital.

Cons: The volume control/input pod has broken twice. I have had two sent out and both wear out in a month's time. How can the speakers feel so solid and the pod feel so darn cheap?

The 3d mode is terrible. It sounds as if you were wearing an old scuba helmet from the 1950s. Also, the 3d effect is in front of the listener not around.

There are many sets of speakers that cost slightly more but feel more sturdy.

This set debuted six months ago at $259.99 and is now $120 at an online stores and $179.99 here on NewEgg.

Not a very auspicious beginning for Antec

Other Thoughts: The digital connector only works in two channel stereo mode. If you have a Creative card and you have Dolby Digital LIve or DTS connect enabled, the speakers will output nothing. If you go to control panel and choose SPDIF out as default, it will output stereo digital only to these speakers.

Antec should have put this in the instructions, website, or the box. It chose not to do so. I had to find this out from Tech Support.

5 out of 5 eggsGood sound quality

Pros: Great sound, clean bass, and they look great.

Cons: Price dropped $70. 3D sound just seems louder and more distorted to me. I tried it with some Blu-rays and I am not very impressed.

Other Thoughts: I'm very happy with these speakers even when I payed $250 for them. I think the price was too high, but $180 is perfect for this quality of a speaker. I also bought the HT Omega Halo Claro at the same time and all I can say is wow!!! They are a great combination for amazing musical clarity. I've even been getting into classical music because of how great it sounds.
