BOSE® Companion® 2 Series I Multimedia Speaker System

Pros: Great speakers. The price on shell shocker was great also.

Cons: Not as loud as I expect Bose speakers to be.

Pros: I bought these for my work desk where I don't have room for a 2.1 or larger setup but still wanted good sounding speakers. These are a good compromise, they are not going to blow you out of the chair but at moderate listening levels they sound very rich and full for their size.
If you are looking for a 2.0 speaker solution that is a cut above the tinny sounding ones that usually come with PCs you can't go wrong with this set as long as you are not the type to turn it up to 11.

Other Thoughts: These speakers sit on my work desk next to my phone base and when in close proximity there is a pulsating feedback that comes through even if the speakers are turned all the way down. Simple fix, move the phone away but something to be aware of if you don't have a lot of desk space.

Pros: Got these because they were silver. Just needed some cheap speakers that matched everything else on the desk, and something to play sounds and alerts since the Mac is in a Henge Dock. Was very much surprized at how decent these things sound. No speaker this size is going to sound perfect, but these sound about as good as a speaker this size can sound. I'm very pleased.

Cons: They weren't free. They don't sound like a $2000 speaker system.

Pros: It works no problem.
Have it for 2 weeks now. No issues so far.
What else to want for 65$?(-5$ promo code, 20$ - rebate.

Pros: easy to set-up, use. Sound is great as far as I concerned got on sale under $60.00 love em. Highly recommend for good quality sound. Not a super sound expert but for average user much better than any other speakers ever owned. Love plugging into laptop tons better than the pricey type that I "up graded" to on laptop. I will never upgrade built ins again

Pros: Extremely compact design with great sound. I use them for streaming pandora and netflix. They are somewhat heavier then expected and display elegance and quality. The nice sliver tone fits any decor. There is no power led so there is no need to turn them off unless something in the room is making them hum.
Anyone can complain about anything but I enjoy the BOSE Companion 2 Series II speaker system.

Cons: The Bose speaker system featured here can no longer be found at Bose or other fine retailers simply because they are not current. The current model is Companion 2 Series II and has a power off feature and sleeker look.
The speaker audio cables are a bit short. (4ft) The use of standard left / right audio plugs makes finding a longer cable at Radio Shack an easy task. Bose should consider extending the length of their audio cables.

NOTE: the speakers advertised here are Series I.... not II. Bose and other fine retailers no longer carry this model. However you are buying them at a savings.

Pros: Great sound at medium to high volumes.

Cons: The first thing I noticed as soon as I plugged it in was a humming noise. This is BOSE shouldn't be a hum. It goes away as sound is increased but I bought these for my office and I listen at low volumes so the hum is very noticeable. The other thing is they are not very loud if you decide to crank them up. Bose needs to go back to the drawing board with these. One last thing no turn off switch so they hum while you at not listening to them.

Other Thoughts: All in all they do sound great at a medium/high volume. If I had tried them in a store I would have passed on them.

Pros: Sweet speakers. Highly recommended. I have had these for two years or more and have used them on two computers. No problems and sound quality excellent. I spent near $100 for them. This is a great product and buy.

Pros: The clarity is amazing!! I enjoy music again.

Cons: Like others mentioned, the Bass isn't the best.. There are other 2 speaker systems that have more bass, but you will sacrifice the sound quality!!

Other Thoughts: I would definetly reccommend this to friends and family. I'm just amazed... definetly great with it being on sale. Another thing... I had 3 days UPS shipping... ordered it on the 6th, got it today on the 7th!! Thank you newegg Shipping Department, Thank you UPS, Thank you Bose, Thank you man upstairs! LOL I REALLY wanted to rate this with 5 eggs, but it still feels its missing a subwoofer.. Just go ahead and take this review as a 4.9 out of 5. :)
