4 out of 5 eggsMixed Feelings

Pros: Full range crisp sound. USB powered. Fits in my laptop case.

Cons: Lacks rated volume.

Other Thoughts: A friend has a set of Dell A215s that got me interested in buying satellites in opposed to a soundbar for my laptop. The Dells sound pretty full for a small footprint speaker. I read the reviews in a few places on these SonaWAVEs and everyone comment how good they sound. Well, they were right. They have a nice crisp, distinct sound with good separation, all the way down to the 135 Hz bottom end. (which is not going to push a lot of bass but I knew that at that range rating)
Where I am left hanging is the Dells are rated at 1.5 watts RMS per side. Even though that's adequate power for being right in front of my laptop, I was looking for something with a little more power. That's when I decided on these SonaWAVEs because they are rated at 5.5 watts RMS per side which is more than 3x the rating of the Dells. Unfortunately, side by side, they were no louder than the Dells. I could have bought the Dells for 16 cheaper, shipped. Right now, I'm trying to justify if the SonaWAVE's clarity is worth that difference in almost twice the price. Bottom line, nice sounding speakers but underpowered considering the wattage.

5 out of 5 eggsWinner

Pros: All of this is price relative of course.
Delivers sound on par with the best of it's price range.
A lot sleeker looking than it's competitors.
Blue LEDS are a very nice touch to a system matching the color scheme.
Easy to use, just plug in and enjoy.

Cons: For this price? No cons, works as intended and pleasing to the ears and eyes.

Other Thoughts: Don't expect these to perform flawlessly at MAX volume. That requires more expensive materials which equals out to a more expensive speaker. This is for anywhere from 1-80% max volume usage, and delivers clear audio when used properly. Music, games, movies, all are adequate. If you need a cheaper, sleeker solution, go ahead and buy it. If you want professional class audio, look a bit higher.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the money

Pros: These are great sounding speakers. They are not going to blow the walls out, but are plenty loud when you sit in front of the computer. Two wire hook up, one to sound jack, and the other to USB.

Cons: The wire that seperates the the two speakers is about 4',so that is the most seperation you can get. I have them on either side of my 24" monitor, so that is good for me.

3 out of 5 eggsstylish

Pros: blue lights on base of speakers, volume control, usb powered

Cons: when the volume is turned passed 80% it cuts out and the static of the sound is overwhelming.

Other Thoughts: i got them for $20 and they look really nice on my desk, matching my blue lit up tower.
if you don't plan on blasting these at 100% volume, which is decently loud. then i would say, buy them.
