2 out of 5 eggsWeak

Pros: Cheap price, small, and super light weight. Look OK, and are mode by a brand name I've come to like over the years.

Cons: Hollow sounding with a piercing bright blue light on the front. Volume knob is hard to turn and you will need to hold the speaker while adjusting. Weak volume, even up all the way it's difficult to impossible to hear a movie. My laptop speakers work and sound better. Sound quality is very poor.

Other Thoughts: I thought for $10 bucks I couldn't go wrong. I wish I would have spent $15 more and got a better pair. I have another pair on the way. $50.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well Looks fine

Pros: Great price, small footprint, looks good, actually sounds fine on everything from classical music to sports radio.

Cons: Not sure why the sound cable is so short - just over three feet.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat speakers

Pros: Sounds great.
Really inexpensive.
Stylish.

Cons: -Headphone emits a low frequency sound when plugged into headphone jack provided.

- Knob for volume indicator is wrong. 'No sound' starts in the middle of the sliver. As I turn the volume up, the knob points towards the gigabyte logo.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: Inexpensive, nice shape, louder than I'll ever need

Cons: Cord could stand to be a little longer, although it suffices to be on my desk above my computer.

Other Thoughts: Definitely worth it, would recommend.

1 out of 5 eggsYou get what you paid for :(

Pros: NONE!!!

Cons: It does not WORK!

Other Thoughts: After 7 days of waiting it finally arrived so much for the 'rush delivery' fee. But like I said it does not work. There is a power on the device but there is no sound. So I tried my old speaker just to check if it was my computer but it wasn't. Good thing I didn't buy a much more expensive speaker or else...Well I'm not going to go into any hassle returning this product and waiting for another week I'm just going to buy one at my trusted retail store.

PS: I hope the other items that I purchased from this website doesn't break right away.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great.

Pros: Speakers work very well and the cost of them is the main attractive feature

Cons: No cons that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: If there was a 10+ deal for $3 to $5, I'd buy ten!

4 out of 5 eggsRevising My Prior Review DERP!

Pros: Well, since helpful reviews are at the top by default I have to reiterate the pros. Very nice looking, I carry them around on my shoulders showing them off to all the uncool kids on my block. :D

I LIKE the blue light. I have 2 wide screen LCDS in front of me and I constantly glance at both quite often and I don't even notice the light even though it's right in front of me above the 2nd monitor. USB power is a plus, though I have a LOT of USB peripherals plugged in most of the time, so I'll run out of those before I run out of places to plug stuff into my power strip.

Headphone jack provides solid sound, but I already have 2 other jacks built into my computer for headphones, so not something I actually need. However, if you are one of those people who have the speakers in front of your computer on the desk it's a nice conviences.

Cons: Minor issue, but the white strip indicator for the volume control is on the WRONG side, I kid you not. I previously complained about unbearable rattling and distortion at very moderate levels (well, not in those exact words, but you get the point). I was going to lay a phone book on the speaker to steady it, but there's no room on my desk and I like having it mounted on the wall. So I wrapped the thing with duct tape all the way around (top/bottom/sides NOT the front for reasons obvious to any sentient carbon-based lifeform) and I was able to crank the sound up real high--no more rattling! However, these speakers miss an entire spectrum of sound so definitely not fit for music, unless you listen to country. ; )

Other Thoughts: Sound cord is not too short far as I'm concerned. These are small speakers built for use with laptops that suffer from TINY speakers, so you shouldn't be looking to place speakers of this sort more than 3ft from your computer. And they are plenty loud, assuming you use duct tape to stabilize them like I did. :P

The blue light is pretty and probably takes as much wattage as the speakers themselves.
I remember my small Altec Lansing speakers back in 2001 and they were SOLID! Too bad Gigabyte doesn't make that kind of quality (that goes for their motherboards, too, don't get me started), buy I'm okay with my purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsAs good as you'll find if you know what you're getting.

Pros: These sound great, as far as $7 pairs of speakers go. For that price at a retail outlet you might find something that sounds like a loud pair of headphones from a distance.

USB-powered means no outlets taken up, and the 3.5mm input means you're not limited to just the PC like some USB speakers. Cord length hasn't been an issue.

Cons: At the price you can hardly call it a con, but obviously these aren't high-quality speakers. Expect your audio to sound good at normal volumes, but it'll never be mindblowing, and there's distortion at higher volume settings.

As others have mentioned, the LED is excessively bright, to the point where in a dimly lit room it's hard to find the headphone jack.

Other Thoughts: I bought these for my Xbox 360, which at the time had been hooked up to the truly horrendous built-in speakers of my monitor. I wasn't expecting much out of these, but I needed something while I save up for a better sound system.

Despite being rated as 1w stereo speakers like the monitors, it feels like a bit of effort was put into these. The USB port on the back of the 360 provides power nicely, and both music and gaming sound good at the right volume.

2 out of 5 eggsSound gets distorted even at medium levels

Pros: Look very nice, has headphone jack--which sounds infinitely better than the speakers themselves.

Cons: Speakers are solidly mounted on my wall and they still rattle and\or sound distorted if the if I have the volume in Windows set even half way. The markings are a little off (volume knob doesn't even point at the white curve).

Other Thoughts: Knew these were not that powerful from the get go (they can get really loud, just can't handle any normal sound input from my system). The cord length is absolutely not a problem as I have these mounted behind my system up on the wall. Cord extensions are cheap and easy to find if you really need them.
