5 out of 5 eggsPowerful, amazing

Pros: Looks high quality materials
For the price you don't found nothing better
Digital control, equalizer presets and more...
100% recommended.
With movies you forget you are in home. Where are the popcorns! like cinema.
With music, quality sound and bass. You can adjust the bass and believe me you can feel the power.

Cons: Why do I don't bought this before.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy setup good sound.

Pros: Modular plug designs. Lots of cable length. Crystal clear sound that is customizable. Remote to control volume without having to reach to your speakers. Sub woofer pounds/slams very well.

Cons: Sub woofer size is massive.

Other Thoughts: I recommend this if you have room for these beasts.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Speakers

Pros: -Fantastic sound with a deep clean bass
-No distortion when volume is on full blast (these are hella fun to blast music on)
-Cord length from Sub to the satellite speaker is lengthy (really handy for setups with more than one monitor)
-The power button is on the control console (NOT on the back of the sub as some lesser speaker sets do)
-Satellite speakers come with risers to point them upwards if you're tall like myself
-Plenty of different options for manipulating the sound coming from the speakers

Cons: Can't think of anything I don't like about em so far.

Other Thoughts: -Keep in mind the sub woofer IS very large. For some this may be a con as you will need to find room in your setup. However there is a reason that the sub is so large. Trust me, it sounds awesome.

-Some may not like the price tag. Yes, in consideration of how much 2.1 computer speakers tend to cost, it is on the upper end of the spectrum. But, in reality, $300.00 is cheap for great sounding speakers in general. Do yourself a favour and spend the money on these instead of some cheap $80.00 2.1 set. You won't regret it.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointing with static noises

Pros: -Good mids and highs
-Deep bass
-Perfect for gaming, home entertainment, music

Cons: -Very expensive!
-Subwoofer is ridiculously too big in small room
-Creates static noises, even with dedicated sound card plugged in

Other Thoughts: Maybe this speaker clearly has a problem with static noises because of DSP, even though I have own ASUS Xonar DX Sound Card. I even have Logitech Z333 2.1 Speaker and clearly doesn't make any static noises whatsoever and I am very happy with Logitech speaker system!

Indeed, this speaker is very expensive and this probably designed for room-filling, though the speaker does get very loud even when listening to comfortable volume effect. So I don't recommend this speaker for average consumers and average gamers.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Speakers < $200

Pros: Trust me, I read all the reviews, and all of the specs of the Z623, the Klipsch Promedia 2.1, and the Corsair SP2500. I saw the Klipsch at Best Buy and I was not impressed. If you sample the reviews from 10 years ago, you will see that the Promedia 2.1 from 10 years ago is not the same speaker they make today. This combined with some model related problems steered me away from those. As for the Logitech, they are quite decent. I would take them over the Klipsch. The Corsairs are a different animal altogether. They are beefy with super attention to detail. The sound is amazing. The control pod is cool as well. Its not wonder they won maximum pc kick a-s-s award.

These speakers have been rocking Ozzy and Black Sabbath for the past two years at 90% volume. Barely get warm. If you can find them,,,,buy them.

Cons: None, so far real happy with them.

Other Thoughts: Personally think they are the second best speakers ever made--The best being the Z-5500

1 out of 5 eggsUnreliable

Pros: Clean sound and hard-hitting subwoofer. I used this for my HTPC setup and this combined with my projector served me and my family well when we had movie night. It was like being in a theater and all of our movies would come to life, you could feel it. I'd see these are equal to a decent ~$300 soundbar system.

Cons: My review is not just based on how this thing sounded when it worked but also on reliability. I had this system for two years and RARELY moved it or unplugged it. Well just this year when we moved, I set it up and reconnected it to my PC and the subwoofer doesn't work. I thought maybe there was some type of setting issue because the other speakers were working so I updated the firmware to the latest and I turned on and off several time the night mode (it's been known to disable the subwoofer). and none of it worked.

Other Thoughts: Now I'm stuck with a $250 desktop speakers without a working subwoofer. I was extremely disappointed because I read all the reviews online and in magazines and I took a risk with a company that is not known for its speakers and I came out on the losing end. My Logitech 5.1 system that I have for 7 years w/my gaming PC is still going strong.

At the end of the day, reliability goes a long way and these are simply not reliable - there was no rhyme or reason why these stopped working, not physical damage and no loose wiring (I opened up the subwoofer box to check) - probably a faulty logic board but my speakers are out of warranty and the cost to ship and fix is not worth it. As such I cannot recommend these speakers - too bad because I love corsair (my CPU cooler, case, PSU and fans are all Corsair brand).

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Speaker Set

Pros: Crisp, clear mids and highs. Subwoofer is matched well with this set. Has enough power to rattle things across your house.

Excellent fit and finish and build quality - something I've come to expect from Corsair.

Cons: Control pod is low resolution & doesn't have very good viewing angles. Not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: I absolutely love this system. Sound quality is excellent for music and movies. I don't do a ton of action gaming so I haven't experienced this system for gaming. I will say that the highs and mids are incredibly crisp and clean - virtually no distortion at all. The sub hits hard all the way through the volume band. Keep in mind I'm running off of motherboard audio (Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD4H)

I would highly recommend this system to anyone. The subwoofer is massive and the satellites/tweeters are large as well, so this isn't the set for someone with a small desk.

5 out of 5 eggsSP2500

Pros: This system is extremely good. I finally decided to pony up and buy one. The mid-ranges are very clean and clear and they will push as loud as you want them to with no distortion at all. The tweeters are amazingly clear and tight. They balance the system so well. The controller is simple and easy to use. I love the headphone output. However, by far the best part of the system is the subwoofer. Even with the mid and high at about 1/4 throttle, the subwoofer is incredibly powerful. I have the system in a large room and the entire room is filled with delicious bass. You can feel the sheer amount of air that the sub moves. Makes me wonder how far the excursion is. A glass on my desk rattles at half volume with the sub in the blue. I haven't pushed the system any further, mainly because I value my hearing, but I am confident it would perform excellently.

The system is very well built and sturdy, unlike other systems in a comparable price range. The system took about a week of breaking in before it really reached its full potential, so don't worry. The sub took a LOT to break in, but now it is amazing. If you just got the system and it sounds flat, don't worry and don't RMA it just yet. Play some music with a broad dynamic range for a week or so before you make a judgement. I've had it around 6 moths ish and I love it.

10/10, would definitely buy again.

Cons: None whatsoever

5 out of 5 eggsGreat sound!

Pros: I'm no expert on audio, but I know how my music should sound! These 2 speakers that include tweeters really hit those highs and mids for clear sound. The subwoofer is an absolute monster(possibly an exaggeration)! The sub works best when faced towards where you are sitting and the same goes with the speakers; line them up on a B line to your ears and they sound great!

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: Have only used the default sound settings. The others don't seem to be anything special.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding Value

Pros: In daily use for more than three years, mostly at moderate volume, without a hitch. Build quality of all components is impressive. Subwoofer is solid - no buzzing or rattling.

Excellent sound quality driven from Realtek ALC889 analog output. The SP2500 satellites rival monitor speakers costing three times as much. The silk dome tweeters have a very smooth sound that is ideal for the close-distance listening in a computer scenario. Satellite amps are also very good. I plug my Grado SR-325 ($350) headphones directly into the Realtek, then into the SP2500 headphone jack. Sound quality from the SP2500 is almost the same as the straight Realtek (which is very good to start with). Note that the Grados are low impedance headphones. The SR2500's will drive my high impedance Sony MDR-CD160 phones easily wheras the ALC889 can't.

Plenty of clean power. I have the subwoofer located in the corner of a bedroom. This location gives +9dB of bass - all that is sanely needed in this environment.

A nice surprise is the DSP and EQ programs. The DSP programs work well - comparable to my Yamaha Home Theater Receiver (which cost 2x as much as the SP2500). The EQ programs are simple, not parametric, but works well.

The control console is easy to use. It has a separate subwoofer level that helps fine-tune the system to the room environment.

Cons: None - good job Corsair!

Other Thoughts: I wish that Corsair would offer a 5.1 version.
