5 out of 5 eggsBest 2.1 system I've owned

Pros: All i have to say is you will not be disappointed. The sounds are so clean and crisp, i find myself rediscovering my old music all over again. I will say the sub definitely kicks, and one song in particular if you guys ever want to get a full experience with is the opening of the song Revolution by Attack Attack. You don't even need to sit through the whole song, listen to the first few seconds and you can thank me later.

Cons: Neighbors complain now... Oh well.

Other Thoughts: No regrets.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Loud. Real loud for the size.
Compact satellites.
Handy controller for volume, sub gain, brightness, and other adjustments.

Cons: Listed as including 6-foot cables but came with 10-footers.
Only a con because I paid for the bigger ones expecting the smaller ones.

Other Thoughts: This setup ROCKS! The satellites are a little shorter and a little wider than the Bose Companion 2's they replaced- and they HAVE been replaced. The dimensions for the sub are accurate but somehow I expected it to be smaller. Be ready for that. I somewhat foolishly wanted this to be fully operational when I got it and after reading previous reviews I ordered the 10-foot cables for the satellites from Cosair directly. Wasted some $$ as the ones that came with the system were 10-footers. Change that in the details, please, Egg. The SP-2500 system was offered at a great price plus a 20-dollar so it's less painful. Also ordered a SVGA M-F extension (Item #: N82E16812107765)to allow flexibility. I have a big desk...

Ordered one Asus DSX Xonar 7.1 soundcard as well. After a small issue installing the card-see review- I was up and running. AC/DC Powerage to Vivaldi all sounded GREAT! Had a .mkv copy of "Die Hard" and the gunfights were a blast. Tee-hee...Yippiekaiyay...

Would have preferred Corsair included a customizable EQ instead of all the usual padded cell, stone quarry options that abound. Who uses that junk? Fortunately the Asus DSX 7.1 provides a solution.

If you have room for the 1 x 1 x 1.5-foot sub get this system now. It will be enough even a large room. Hardcore audiophiles may look down their noses but at this price point it cannot be beat.
5 stars from me is rare, I am super happy!

5 out of 5 eggsWOW

Pros: This baby is huge and BEAUTIFUL - side panels used hinges and not merely small screws... It seems to be finger print resistant. Very quiet even with all the fans running. Feels like it has unlimited space for HDs. Only have 1 ssd and 2 regular HD for raid.

Cons: $$$$$ the price is a bit much - and this puppy is 47 lbs out of the box with nothing in it. Not a case you will want to move around all the time.

Other Thoughts: I wanted to look at the 900D but couldn't wait for it to be come available. Not sorry I got the cosmos 2.

5 out of 5 eggsReplaced Klipsch 5.1

Pros: I was between these and the Logitech z906 5.1, read a ton of reviews basically saying they were even but a lot more praised the corsair sp2500. Only reason people went with the z906 was for 5 speakers. A $220 difference felt like the smart choice.

-excellent sound quality
-minimal space
-4 pin molex
-Controller functions are nice
-Paid $160 after rebate

Cons: Wished it came in 5.1

Other Thoughts: Finally got rid on my Klipsch ProMedia 5.1. After 9 years one of the speakers stopped working and was due for an upgrade. I feel this was a improvement, until Corsair makes a 5.1 (hint hint).

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: Sounds phenomenal.

Cons: 2 things. Not worth taking an egg off. 1) Sub is HUGE! Photo doesn't do it justice. 2) would be nice if audio signal was digital via USB. This could also make the remote have more functionality.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Speakers

Pros: Great sound WHEN combined with a Sound Card(Asus Xonar STX)
Multiple Program and EQ Settings to Emulate Other systems what this means is you can set Program to (Dynamic Pop) and the EQ to (Pop) to Boost Bass and Highs, the Mids are no slouch either. So basically there are different modes to set up for types of music genres.

The satellites are a nice size and have large cables with good length nothing cheap here.

The bass is huge I like the design its clean and much better than any bass I have used so far(Sound Card).

Cons: The only con I could think off is when I push the volume and bass to the max(after breaking in the speakers/bass for 4 months) I can noticed some muddy distortion when i have the Program on Dynamic Pop and the EQ on Pop, On other settings I don't notice this as they are more timid settings.
This doesn't take away from the rating IMHO, You can get these pretty loud without distorting them.

Other Thoughts: I might need to break these bad boys in some more to eliminate the distortion on the highest Volume and Bass settings Program/Dynamic Pop EQ/Pop

Pros: Good sound. Only giving 1 star because of the broken power button, but I will change it later to better rating, thanks.

Cons: Broken power button I'm afraid it won't last two more days I need help to see how the warranty works so I can get this fixed.

4 out of 5 eggsfor pc speakers a++

Pros: the remote is nice in many ways changing the eq up and sub volume being independent is very nice, sound is great too but as many have said its hard to get great mids out of 4" speaker, put they are passable and at times the mids are very present

Cons: price i paid 200$ and i feel like a for a little more money i could of went with a 5.1 speaker system with a digital tuner and been happier.

Other Thoughts: great for movies and music besides gaming, the book says aim the speakers at your ears for gaming and it does give u a nice immersion into games when doing this
