Corsair’s Gaming Audio Series SP2200 2.1 PC speaker system is designed for gamers looking for high-quality audio in a small package. By using the same detailed attention to acoustics as the SP2500, the SP2200 is rated at 46 watts RMS of total output power and features two satellites with 2” full-range drives and a 6” side-firing, ported subwoofer. The SP2200 can be connected to almost any audio source, including PC, gaming consoles and MP3 players, via three inputs. There is also a headphone output as well as individual controls for volume and subwoofer level located conveniently on the right satellite.

  • newegg Big Sound With a healthy, true power of 46 Watts, including 30 Watts dedicated to the subwoofer, the Gaming Audio Series SP2200 2.1 PC speaker system delivers lots of power demanded by high-performance gaming audio. The side-firing subwoofer employs a true 6” powered driver — no passive or pressure drivers here — for serious gaming punch, and the satellites give you precise stereo imaging and a generous sweet spot.
  • newegg Small Package The compact satellites are acoustically tuned for detailed audio reproduction without relying on large enclosures. The subwoofer is small enough to put on your desk…or, put it out of the way on the floor where it might not be seen, but will definitely be heard.
  • newegg Flexible and capable audio hub The Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2200 provides a 3.5mm stereo PC input, two additional audio inputs (RCA for a gaming console and Aux-in for your MP3 player), and a headphone output on the right satellite that lets you listen in private.

1 out of 5 eggsCrackling Left Speaker

Pros: Good sound

Cons: Crackling Left Speaker issue (easily Googled). It seems this is a hardware defect. I've owned these for a while, but I contacted Corsair anyway to see if they'll do anything.

Other Thoughts: I'll come back here and change my rating to be more positive if they own up to it. Their 2500 series is $249, the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 is $149. I have Klipsch on my PC and they are just as good (if not better because of the crackling issue).

I have to give it 1 egg because no one would willing buy something that they knew was going to break down. Speakers should (and can) last forever.

1 out of 5 eggsYup I got the Crackling/popping as well

Pros: Was a great speaker, good quality sound, Pretty good bass

Cons: Crackling/Popping is driving me crazy. Only left speaker. Even pops when computer and speakers are turned off! Have to unplug the power to them at night because it "pops" right next to where I sleep.

Other Thoughts: Pretty sure I am out of warranty as this was a X-Mas gift couple years ago. Ugh, gotta contact the person that gave it to me see if can find out when they bought it.

2 out of 5 eggsOne Large Issue

Pros: - Decent Sound Quality
- Corsair ;/
- Sounds great when you cant hear the high pitched noise (see in cons)

Cons: The speakers make a high pitched buzzing noise when there is no sound playing, sometimes the bass stops for 5-10 seconds before starting up again. occasional crackling noise.

Other Thoughts: I love corsair products but because of the high pitched noise, these speakers are a burden to have.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Ryan,

We're sorry that you're experiencing this issue. Please contact Tech Support at and we would be happy to assist you.

Thank you,
Corsair Customer Support

1 out of 5 eggsCan't give them a zero?

Pros: Good controls, nice inputs, sound quality is good when they work.

Cons: Left and Sub produce horrible crackling. Problem has been getting worse and worse. Originally would take days to weeks to begin. Unplugging for 24 would solve the issue. Now it'll happen within hours. The speakers are unusable now. Contacted Corsair, but they were largely unhelpful.

Other Thoughts: Corsair makes some good stuff. Speakers are not one of them.

I like Corsair. More than a few of my parts are theirs. These speakers have been a disappointment, and now I'm out $100.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad for the price

Pros: Easy to setup, and looks good. Sound quality is descent.

Cons: I'm not sure if I set it up incorrectly, but I'm getting an "echo-ey" sound quality. Maybe I need a dedicated sound card?

3 out of 5 eggsA falling star!

Pros: Past tense for the moment.

Cons: The left channel problems have become common for too-many. PC Skeaker RMA's, or warranty work, is a royal pain. Acidents happen but this a fault right from the manufacturer. Corsair should send you a replacement. My eyes bright from looking forward to the next step up in Corsair speakers now has a black eye.

Other Thoughts: Customers reviews at other vendors for this product also complain of a first-faulty, then failed, left channel. That was sure nice to read after the purchase was already made. I could only hope that I would not be counted amongst a growing number of unhappy people, but I got the short end of the wish bone.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Sound great when they work.

Cons: Static poping sound comes out of my left speaker.

Other Thoughts: Corsairs Quality Assurance is horrible. I've had to RMA more than 5 different products over the past year. The only thing they've made that hasn't failed is PSU and memory.

1 out of 5 eggsCracking Noise Just like Everyone Else!

Pros: Sounded nice while they lasted.

Cons: After a month the left speaker started making a horrible crackling noise.

Other Thoughts: I'm quite upset that I read the reviews on here and everything seemed great. Once I got them I was incredibly happy, good sound and great bass. A month later the left speaker started making a terrible crackling noise. I looked on newegg to see if anyone had the same problems and sure enough! As soon as I buy the system there's a few reviews on here with the same problem. Like the others have stated. Don't even bother buying these. They're not worth the money. I hope corsair is happy to lose another customer.
