4 out of 5 eggsGood OS, but many things not yet supported

Pros: Great smooth OS with a 64 bit processor.

Cons: Unfortunately there are mayn peripherals that do not have 64 bit drivers yet.

Other Thoughts: I had to reinstall XP pro on my laptop until HP and Broadcom produce a 64 bit driver

Pros: Everything was working fine on the first day that I installed the trial version of the OS.

Cons: Today the OS bugged and deceided that my 90 day trial period was over one day later. Way to go microsoft you put out a product that can't even tell what day it is. The video card that I have had a newer driver that worked fine however the sound card was incompatible with this OS. This OS is going to end up like Windows ME. I'm already getting no support from the company that made it. Do not buy this. Stick with XP.

1 out of 5 eggsIt Might be Great Later, but now It STINKS

Pros: Super-Fast, probably very stable, the new technology, driver support for high end NVidia and Sound Blaster cards

Cons: NO TOP TIER ANTI-VIRUS
Few hardware drivers
Lots of 32-bit software doesn't work

Other Thoughts: You have to go to the secondary market to get any anti-virus protection. Even Microsofts new anti-virus which will be realeased in May doesn't support x64. I couldn't get my video editing software (Pinnacle Movie Study 9) to even install. Many others have reported similiar install problems.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks like a charm!

Pros: Do your research before deploying this operating system. Check with the Motherboard Manufacturer for drivers prior to purchasing. My installation went better than expected. I found all of the key drivers for the vast majority of my components. Nice job Microsoft.

Cons: I had to create my own printer drivers and my USB camera doesn't have drivers at all. Despite this minor issue, I am enjoying this product.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat tips before buying...

Pros: Fast and Stable OS.
Supports ofcourse future x64 applications.

Cons: The lack of Drivers.

Some software developers have created x64 softwares, but most of the software industries out there havent made the shift to x64 processing yet

At this time, Game developers have not taken advantage of the x64 processing. Buying Windows XP x64 right now might just burn a whole in your pocket.

Other Thoughts: OK before you go anywhere, You can try Windows XP x64 for free for 6 Months before actually buying it.

Just google "Free Windows XP x64 Trial" and it will direct you to Microsoft's XP x64 website. You put in your information and Microsoft will shortly create a serial number for you and a downloading link so you can download the XP x64 CD image and burn it onto a CD and install it.

So, download the trial version before buying.

In my humble opinion, it is unnecessary to buy this OS right now since most industries are not taking advantage of the x64 processing for the OS, they will ofcourse in the future.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's 64-bit. The future! It's wicked fast

Cons: There is almost no support for anything you install on it. Not even Microsoft has Bluetooth Support for their own Bluetooth keyboard and mouse

Other Thoughts: Can't wait untill the world catches up and supports 64-bit. As for me, I am getting the good old 32-bit OS
