An enhanced optical system (High-Pass Optics) with anti-reflective lens coatings and a high-reflection mirror helps you achieve faster scans while preserving image quality. With Epson's Digital ICE Technologies you can easily remove dust and scratches from film, and many types of surface defects from prints, minimizing costly retouching. And, with the convenient film holders included, you can even batch scan multiple slides and negatives to increase productivity.
The unit features both FireWire and Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connections. A full software suite is included featuring LaserSoft Imaging SilverFast SE 6, Adobe Photoshope Elements, ABBYY FineReader Sprint Plus OCR, Epson Copy Utility, and Epson Scan with Epson Easy Photo Fix Technology (Epson Scan and LaserSoft Imaging SilverFast SE 6 will run on Windows XP x64 Edition).
Great Product, but....
Pros: Produces high quality scans for those jobs requiring top end performance. This is not a scanner for the casual user as the quality may overwhelm your needs if you’re unsure how to use the software it's packaged with. I am using this scanner with a variety of pc and Mac computer equipment. I primarily use it with an iMac 27-i7, Photoshop, and full Adobe C5 & C4. Warm up time is within 5 seconds at room temps, Full page scans are preview ready in less than 10 seconds. The amount of detail is equal to lower end drum scanners I have used at work. Sometimes the detail is a bit too extreme as dust and scratches I didn't notice in the original are evident in the scanned product.
Cons: The scanner came straight out of the box with a foggy film on the interior glass. A quick internet search, including Epson's own FAQ, showed this fogging to be a frequent problem. Epson responded in two days via email as to where to have it serviced or to return it to NewEgg for another unit. I have elected to take the scanner into an Epson approved service center during the warranty period. I don’t notice an impact in the produced scan product caused by the foggy glass film. Perhaps there is an affect, but the high scan quality masks the degradation. Further research lends me to believe the problem is caused either by plastic casing out-gassing or a fault with the type of glass being used (holding a static charge and drawing a fine film onto it). Epson is not alone with this issue. Hp's scanners have also had this issue according to my research.
Other Thoughts: The Epson 750 and its sibling 700 are both good products if you want a top end product. This scanner won't be an averages user's purchase. There are many fine lower priced scanners for the home or budget business application that come with easy friendly software.

Pros: Killer software package included. Firewire interface. Scans twelve slides per pass. ICE works great.
Cons: Expensive. EZcolor software only includes large format color targets.
Other Thoughts: I purchased an IT8 35mm slide color target and used the included x-rite EZcolor software to create a profile. The results are phenomenal.

I hope yours doesn't stop working
Pros: It has impressive stats with big price tag (almost a little too big), but software is nice.
Cons: VERY POOR Tech Support, might as well buy a new one right away if you need to bring it in for repair as you are gonna be without yours for a LONG TIME. Everything was fine with mine until a couple months in I noticed a slight shift in some shades of colors (Input/Output response wasn't linear anymore) and I emailed tech support. After waiting a WEEK, they told me to bring it into a local tech place, I did. Long story short, I went ONE MONTH without my scanner for various EPSON reasons and for my trouble they gave me a new one (which they should have done anyway because they couldn't fix mine).
Other Thoughts: I'm not buying Epson again, completely due to their tech support.

Amazingly good scanner
Pros: Excellent resolution, dual lens system deals with slide or other small originals as well as full-page scans, fast and sharp, wide range of carriers including wet neg scan, good included software. Definitely worth the price.
Cons: Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 included (current version is 5.0 and you really need 5.0 or full Photoshop if you need Photoshop at all), ICE unuseable on slides, wet mount carrier fell apart from use of fluid (but replaced immediately and now fine)
Other Thoughts: After 1000 scans+ of slides, prints from 1800s on, ambrotypes, all sizes of negatives I have not had one bad result caused by the scanner. It pulls out detail you wouldn't believe could be there. I searched long and hard for a scanner that could do 120, 127, postcard size etc. negs as well as 12 slides at once, 4 35mm strips (with individual settings for each frame) etc. This is it.

Pros: I have used several Epson scanners (3200, 4870, 4990, and now the V750-M). I am very pleased with this one as it surpasses, in many ways, the other scanners--both optically as well as technically. This is a great scanner and the included software is decent as well. SilverFast AI and the color calibration software is acceptable.
Cons: Not the best value for the money. Seems that it should be a bit less expensive for what the product is.
