The DR-X10C is Canon's premier scanner in the mid-volume production segment. Boasting high-speed, high-quality image scanning, with reliable document handling capabilities, clear, efficient, and easy image scanning, and superior durability, the DR-X10C fits the demanding requirements of centralized scanning operations.

The DR-X10C delivers unrivaled image quality at rapid speeds of up to 130 pages per minute and 260 images per minute, in color, grayscale, or black-and-white. The energy efficient and durable DR-X10C, with its operator friendly design, is the ultimate solution for quality production level scanning. As Canon's flagship scanner in the mid-volume production segment, the DR-X10C is perfect for all mid-volume production scanning needs.

  • newegg Fast Speed for Production Scanning The DR-X10C scanner is capable of maintaining impressive scanning speeds of up to 130 pages per minute and 260 images per minute, in color, grayscale, or black-and-white, due in part to a dedicated, onboard Image Processing Chip. This hardware chip can handle multiple image processing functions simultaneously, virtually independent of connected PC performance. To support these speeds, fast connectivity is offered with Hi-Speed USB 2.0 and SCSI III ports. The DR-X10C scanner also allows for optional onboard Kofax VirtualReScan (VRS) implementation. This hardware solution will deliver the full advantages of VRS image enhancement capabilities, as well as improved scanning speed and productivity.
  • newegg Outstanding Canon Image Quality The DR-X10C scanner introduces the industry’s first dust-free scanning system. A revolutionary three-step approach helps prevent dust particles from accumulating and adher¬ing to the sensor glass, resulting in clearer images and minimized manual cleaning. Uniform, consistent images are captured with utmost precision and clarity—at up to 600 dpi—due to Canon’s advanced image processing features, which include Automatic Shading Mechanism and Three-Dimensional Color Correction.
  • newegg Reliable, Flexible Document Handling The DR-X10C scanner delivers smooth, jam-free feeding of a wide variety of document sizes, from business cards up to 11” x 17”, or even 22” x 34” in Folio Mode. And batch scanning preparation time is reduced with the industry’s first dedicated page size and skew detection sensor, a new five-level user-adjustable Active Separation Torque controller, and Staple Detection feature. For further flexibility, the DR-X10C scanner is equipped with three user-adjustable Ultrasonic Double-Feed Detection sensors to correctly batch-scan documents with attached photographs or notes. Plus, a Double-Feed Retry mechanism—which reverses docu-ments and attempts to feed them again—and Canon’s Rapid Recovery System ensure the DR-X10C scanner’s superior, reliable, and flexible document handling.
  • newegg Superior Durability The DR-X10C scanner features a robust design, including a solid body and durable roller system to handle the demands of high-volume production scanning. And the scanner is rated at a daily duty cycle of 60,000 scans, superior performance for this price range.
  • newegg Easy To Use and Maintain Select from programmable pre-registered Scan-To-Job buttons, check displayed messages, and select scanner settings, using the intuitive control panel on the DR-X10C scanner. The feeding tray even opens automatically when the scanner is powered on. The DR-X10C scanner also features an ergonomic, compact, and lightweight design that adds to the operator’s handling comfort, and includes user-replaceable feed rollers for easy maintenance.
  • newegg Environment in Mind The DR-X10C scanner has been designed with the environ¬ment in mind, consolidating distributed scanning points into a single, central point, thus reducing overall energy consump¬tion. In fact, the DR-X10C scanner boasts one of the lowest energy consumption levels in the Volume Production scanner market. When connected via USB, it can be synchronized to automatically turn on and off, according to the status of the connected PC, and also includes Standby Mode to conserve power. It also meets the ENERGY STAR Program guidelines for energy efficiency, and complies with the RoHS and WEEE directives for reduction of hazardous substances and waste products.

1 out of 5 eggsShipping Cost Kills It

Pros: Excellent scanner. And a steal at $21,550!

Cons: Having seen its amazing performance at demos, I was going to buy it. But then I noticed the $20 shipping charge. At this price, they should throw in shipping.

5 out of 5 eggsAn easy choice

Pros: -super durable
-super reliable
-I only had to sell one of my kidney's to afford it.

Cons: My wife divorced me when she found out I bought a $16,000 printer.

Other Thoughts: It's unfortunate that the scanner/printer doesn't have the same port my former wife has, I miss utilizing that port. But still the best printer/scanner ever. No regrets.

4 out of 5 eggsClose to perfect

Pros: Runs the forty 4.0 flat.

Cons: Only available in off-white. I'd give it 5 eggs if you could get it in CandyApple or HemiOrange.

5 out of 5 eggsScanning for 2013

Pros: Uses telepathy for broadcasting setup procedures. Most of your $17K scanners require antiquated voice commands. Get with the 21st century and go with telepathic brain power via DNA settings (a simple drop of blood on the initialization's retractable slide is a snap).

Cons: At times the DR-X10c will try to alter brain cells with return packets via the telepathic messaging system, but the new firmware has included an instruction set which limits the machine from attempting subversive mind control. I would definitely upgrade if I were you.

Other Thoughts: Originally listed for $17,000 but I held out till they dropped it to the current price. I had to jump at it then.

I would recommend powering down at night because the other two owners have reported that the machine has attempted communications with extra-terrestrials, Area 51 and NORAD.

5 out of 5 eggsJust amazing!!!

Pros: Little did my wife Buffy and I realize that it also makes cappucino and changes our kid's diapers which is fantabulous.

Cons: Wish it was a little more pricier. A little cheap for our standards.

5 out of 5 eggsBest $16k scanner out there.

Pros: Smaller desktop footprint than the equivalent pile of cash you will spend on it.

Cons: Does NOT turn standard paper into sheets of gold.

Other Thoughts: The kids don't really need a college fund. Go for it, you will not be dissapointed.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: Great scans, gives quality pictures

Cons: none!

Other Thoughts: I had an extra $16 thousand laying around and an empty place next to my printer, so I bought this bad boy and it was the best decision I have made in a long time. It never breaks either!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy

Pros: Runs great. This modern marvel runs at 1600spm (sheets per minute). And a whopping 3300rpm!

Cons: I counted and it jams every 225146 sheets.

Other Thoughts: I bought this instead of a car. Greatest decision of my life.
