Canon CanoScan LiDE110 2400 x 4800dpi 48bit USB Interface Flatbed Scanner

Pros: I've read reviews stating that the scanner is slow but my guess is that the individual should take a look at the PC they are running. I purchased this scanner for my mother a year ago for it's simplicity. My more expensive "high quality" scanner wouldn't work with Windows 8 so I "borrowed" it back for about 3 months to store old documents. It's very fast for a USB powered scanner (and even an AC powered scanner). Image quality is a tad above average and exceeds all other's I've tried in this price range. Great for archiving documents.

Cons: Not a great photo scanner if that is your primary purpose. If you are planning on scanning the family photo album dig a little deeper in the piggy bank. Occasional photos are fine and it does a good job for emailing pics or internet images.

Other Thoughts: Im no expert on scanners but I draw and ink my work and use this scanner. For me I'm very impressed! Picks up every bit of detail and comes out real clear!! I've scanned over 50 copies and nothing wrong so far. Also great software too in my opinion and love the simple auto scan button!

Pros: Works with SANE and Debian wheezy, though (practically) buttons are not supported by SANE on *any* scanner.

Cons: It is possible for paper to slip underneath the edge of the scanner bed. Inconvenient but not a significant problem.

Other Thoughts: I am pleased with this purchase, even after several months.

Pros: Scans well even though I seldom use it.i just don't scan much in general.But the scans that I have done were very good.

Cons: no cons for now until it breaks

Pros: I have not done much scanning,and owned this scanner over a year.But the scans I did do they all turned out perfectly.

Cons: I have had two of these, both gave up after about 10 months, I only made less than 100, probably more like 50 scans in that period.

Pros: Worked with every computer and OS that I've tried it on. Simple, cheap, works OK. I've bought a few of these. They've held up better than more expensive scanners with fancy options.

Cons: Could be faster, could be cheaper, but I buy one of these whenever I need a good simple scanner.

Pros: Scans nice. Good value.

Cons: Not the highest quality but you get what you pay for.

Other Thoughts: Fast shipping with NewEgg.

Pros: semi-good quality of scanning images

Cons: One of the slowes scanner we've ever had. If you are looking for something that will be really fast - don't buy it. It's defenitly twice as much as advertised 16 seconds per scan

Pros: Works well for documents and some images. Does work in Linux as well which might be a plus for some people.

Cons: Not a photo-scanner...
