Terrible Customer Support on XP100
- Pros: Great form factor - Good looking solution for use with PaperPort document management software.
- Cons: Technical support is terrible. Wait times are long and they want $20 on your card every time you call. Even supervisors dont call you back. Paperport 11 crashes repeatedly using this scanner. Worked with vendor 1 month - and still no reply or solution.
- Other Thoughts: I can't imagine a company making a product that has difficulties - and then adding terrible customer support on top of that.
Do Not Buy
- Pros: Compact, No power supply required.
- Cons: Terrible, lousy cusomer support, no driver updates for Vista. Do not purchase because it will NOT work with Microsoft Vista. It would require a minimal amount of effort to make it compatible but they want to force you to purchase a new one. They ARE NOT customer friendly, just interested in making a buck.
- Other Thoughts: There are many other competetive products that match or exceed this scanners performance for MUCH less in price!

No Vista Drivers?
- Pros: This scanner does a good job for portable laptop use on the road, I use it for faxing contracts via wireless broadband from my vehicle. It is very fast and only requires a USB connection.
- Cons: NO VISTA DRIVERS!!!
I PURCHASED A NEW HP LAPTOP AND THIS SCANNER IS NOW TOTALLY USELESS TO ME. WHEN I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAITED FOREVER, THEY COULD HAVE CARED LESS!
