Pros: Awesome office scanner, no jams, crisp images, incredible speed...

Pros: Based on the 6130 design, which we have two of in the office. It's just an "updated" version of the older one.

Cons: It's not nearly as reliable and jams more frequently than the original, they added some little rollers to the feeder tray which are nothing but useless little speedbumps, This scanner also jams more frequently than the original 6130 since it seems to draw the paper in less efficiently than the original.

Other Thoughts: It's not horrible, but the original version is far superior, so if you can find the 6130 get that one. Otherwise you can settle for the updated version that has more bells and whistles, and therefore more problems.

Pros: Fast. Good quality scans (best quality is with some brightness and contrast tweaking.) Extensive software control with an incredible array of options.

Cons: Brightness and contrast settings in TWAIN driver do not carry over to the ScanSnap software. The standard included software might be too complex for a home user or someone that just wants to click and scan.

Pros: Excellent Scanner

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Cannot say enough good things about these scanners or their quality, highly recommend!

Pros: Fast! Very reliable, and replacement partsconsumable parts (rollers etc.) are readily available and easy to install

Cons: No longer bundled with Adobe standard

Other Thoughts: I have purchased dozens of these units as well as the previous model (6130) they are simply the best scanner in the class. The previous review about being compatable with the ScanSnap series doesnt point out that the 6130z uses Twain drivers (as well as ISIS for those using software like Image Now) where the ScanSnap uses the consumer grade proprietary drivers.

Pros: Have been a fan of Fujitsu scanners for a long time. Are just reliable work horses. This scanner is a great departmental scanner.

Cons: Really, none..

Cons: We already had ScanSnap S1500 at workstations and fugitzu said that this model was not compatible with the S1500; hopefully they will develop software to make it compatible with one of their own models.

Pros: Great desktop scanner. Works great on Windows.

Cons: No driver support for Mac OSX. I know this is stated up front, but at this price point it should be available. There is a third party driver that works pretty well, but it costs $100. Fujitsu should buy this guy's work and just bundle it with the installation CD.

Pros: These are among the highest quality desktop scanners you can buy. They're reliable, fit on the desk well and work with virtually everything a scanner can work with.

Cons: Of course, they're pricey. Good stuff isn't cheap. Also, they don't do thick cards very well and scanning these over long term be hard on the rollers (i.e drivers license, insurance cards, etc.). Get a cheap card scanner for that stuff.

Other Thoughts: This unit replaces the older fi-6130. We've been using these for years. We've tried cheaper scanners but ultimately end up coming back to these. Out of 20 or so scanners, we've had 2 die in the 4 years we've been using them. Overall, they're awesome and worth every cent.

Pros: Durability, speed, reliability. I have 4 of these units have been in place for over a year and they have worked with out issue. If you need a TWAIN driver based scanner this is an excellent choice.

Cons: None specific to the model.
