Better than $15000 drum scanners in my opinion
Pros: Great Digital ICE and auto-restoration features. Outstanding quality. Relatively fast for the sizes of the files that can be produced.
Cons: Not priced for everyone. Digital ICE only works for color, but thats with any scanner with Digital ICE.
Other Thoughts: I've used this to scan hundreds of medium format negatives and slides, as well as hundreds of 35mm negs and chromes. It produced great quality images, even better than ones I've used with Imacon Drum scanners that cost over $15000.

It's my luck...
Pros: The image quality is excellent! The software is easy to use and the batch processing is nice. Easy setup for the most part.
Cons: PROBLEM: The 35mm tray keeps getting jammed in the scanner. I'm using a Vaio 1.8 GHZ and it uses 100% of the CPU when scanning. You need a fast computer when using this product. I'm going to request an RMA for another unit. It's worth getting one that works right. If you enable all the options it can take 30 minutes to scan a single frame of film.
Other Thoughts: I may have just ended up with the lemon in the group. The quality and ease is worth waiting for another. This is a BIG unit so make sure you have the desk space.
