Turn piles of documents into digital images quickly with the 26ppm/52ipm Panasonic KV-S1025C sheetfed document scanner. The 50 sheet ADF lets you load a job and then go handle other projects. The scanner can handle everything from onionskin paper to ID or business cards.

Once the documents are scanned the image enhancement technologies take over. Blank pages are eliminated and any skewed pages are straightened. The multi-color drop out feature lets you tell the scanner to ignore up to three colors so all that is saved is the important data.

Handles thin and glossy paper (textbook pages) very well compared to HP7800. Cons: Scan quality is poor due to stupid design. Plastic window over scan element is statically charged, so picks up paper dust which rapidly degrades image quality. Concave shape ensures it stays on the window, forcing frequent cleanings. (The HP7800 uses flat glass, which is basically self-cleaning as pages are pulled across it.) The dust also gets behind the window, which is even harder to clean. Other Thoughts: Quick Scan software which comes with it is demo version only (30 launches), which works very well but costs over $1000 for full license. Drivers are quite annoying with their service requests, which have to be reset through separate utility. For the price, I expected more, so now shopping for a scanner which feeds as well as this one but has better quality results. Did you find this review helpful?
