2 out of 5 eggsNot very good

Pros: Small Size . Duplex Scanning

Cons: Misfeeds paper - If you have any other scanners they must be disabled before PS252 will work.

Other Thoughts: Does not feed less documents well. Scanning a stack of 15 sheets took three try's. Scanning single sheets in duples mode B&W 200 dpi slow.

2 out of 5 eggsPlustek Smart Office PS252 scanner

Pros: I bought Plustek PS252 with the intention of scanning single sided financial statements at 300dpi B&W. It setup fast and would scan a 50 sheet stack in 3 minutes, provided you turned the "Auto Deskewing" and "Auto Page Sizing" off. Those operations will add another 1-2 secs processing time to each page.
I scanned over 1000 pages without one mis-feed.

Cons: Paperport10's direct scanner interface couldn't adjust brightness when using the Plustek twain drivers, but could do so using Plustek's WIA driver. However the WIA driver reported the scanner as a flatbed and wouldn't auto scan a stack of paper without prompting between each page.
Given the above problem you were forced to use the Plustek twain interface which wasn't that bad on large jobs but was a pain on small scan jobs, as it added an extra step.
After scanning 800 pages the scanner began making a buzzing noise between pages when the stack was less than 20 pages.
This problem would come and go from day to day. About this same time Black lines would start appearing on B&W scans.
Color scans with Paperport looked very true to the original, but they contained many random white lines. Plustek's interface produced no white lines but the results were totally unacceptable. Note, The scanner had been recalibrated several times and used with different computers.

Other Thoughts: Being the drivers were flakey I returned mine for a refund rather than a replacement.
BTW.. Customer support is available but isn't very effective.
