The plustek OpticPro A320 is a USB 2.0 scanning device that can scan an A3 size page in just 8.5 seconds. OpticPro A320 also creates crisp sharp images of the pages, which can then be made into different formats. It is bundled with highly effective image processing, fast and secure PDF conversion, and highly accurate optical character recognition (OCR) software. OpticPro A320 scans thick books without unbinding or dismantling them, so it is a perfect solution for digitizing precious and valuable books. From the vertical market perspective, it is therefore an ideal solution for libraries, schools, graphic designers, publishing companies, hospitals, law firms and even financial institutions.

Pros: May be a good scanner, but it is not as described.

Cons: This is not a book scanner. ProTek has a few models designed to scan books and this is not one of them. I ordered this based on the company description and was disappointed to find that the scanner does not resemble a book scanner at all. It is simply a large format scanner.

Other Thoughts: I had to negotiate a return based on needing a book scanner. Disappointing transaction.
