The Metrologic MK9540CG is an easy to use barcode reader. In the stand it works in Auto-Trigger mode to automatically detect and scan barcodes as they are passed under the reader. When holding the unit in your hand it works in two modes, Code Gate where it automatically activates the scanner and transmits the data when the button is held down or Manual where pressing the button activates the laser and transmits the data. This handy unit decodes all standard 1D, RSS-14, RSS Limited, and RSS expanded bar codes. A USB interface allows easy connection to your computer.

CodeGate Technology Metrologic's unique CodeGate technology allows you to fully control data transmission, making it perfect for menu-scanning.
Automatic Trigger Operation While in the stand, automatic trigger operation is enabled to automatically decode and transmit bar codes.
Handheld or Fixed Projection Modes The Metrologic MK9540 switches quickly between handheld and fixed projection modes for easy bar code scanning and maximized productivity.
Adjustable Stand The adjustable stand makes direction changes easy for accurate scanning in the auto-trigger mode.

Cons: Beeper is a bit weak. We got two units back to back that had bad cables right out of the box (wiggle cable it works...wiggle again it shuts off).
