Pros: -plug-n-play setup couldn't be more simple. Only setup I needed to do was scan the 3 codes in the setup manual to add an enter key after the code.
-includes the stand
-the scanner recognizes when it is on the stand and goes into a constant scan mode. Great for quickly scanning many items in a row.
-cord is very thick and seems very durable (also see cons)

Cons: -stiff cord makes if hard to keep the scanner on its stand if there isn't a lot of open space around it (like if its on a small counter) The stand has holes to screw it down and this is necessary as the stiff cord tends to flip the stand over.
-constant scan mode tends to confuse some cashiers, but they just needed more training to not sit items in the field of the scanner.

Other Thoughts: Works great with Intuit Point of Sale -- Intuit will try to sell you an "approved" scanner for significantly more. Don't fall for it. This one is much nicer and works perfectly.

Pros: Super easy to set up, works right out of the box with 99% of what we do. Windows just sees a USB keyboard and everything goes smoothly. Included quick start guide has some common reconfigurations right on the sheet.

Cons: The included USB cable is a little short.

Pros: lots of these in the field, rock solid.

Other Thoughts: Nice programming interface to custom scan items as needed.

Pros: Great unit, works with Quick Books Point of Sale. Fast reader and works up to 8 inches away. Was able to just copy a bar code to have enter function.

Cons: I paid full price but needed it.

Pros: Plug and Play, all you do is plug it in and scan some bar codes to configure it the way you want. Very easy.

Other Thoughts: One of the other reviewers said that they got bought out so the future was uncertain well that isn't the case. They were bought out by Motorola a few years ago and the products have kept being great. I do installs and tech support for a point of sale company and we always recommend these to use for our clients.

Pros: It works as a standard HID device, so if you can make a USB keyboard work this will work. It also has an awesome stand that comes with it. And if you put the scanner in the stand there is a magnet in the stand that will keep the scanner scanning. So you don't have to press a button to scan the item. Also We have dropped the scanner many times per week onto the floor from about 4-5 feet onto concrete. It's still running after 10+ months.

Cons: It would be nicer to be a bit cheaper. But for how awesome it is compared to other scanners, I don't mind. My ideal price point for this type of scanner would be about $75-80.

Other Thoughts: Bought to replace old Symbol point of sale scanner on it's last leggs. The scanner installed in minutes, worked from the get go, and is still going strong. It does what it should do, and does it well. Looks like we will be ordering more to replace our older units.

Pros: Real simple setup - plug it in and your ready to use the scanner. Comes with a full sheet of pre-configured settings for different barcode standards

Cons: The scanner stand is pretty lame

Pros: Even though the web site does not mention Linux, this device works perfectly as a USB keyboard wedge on my Linux Eee PC. Programming the device involved scanning 4 codes. Now it is a HID USB device that reads bar codes followed by a carriage return. Just what I needed!

Cons: I have yet to find a problem with this device.

Other Thoughts: It took me a while to find a laser barcode scanner that was known to work with Linux. So if you were searching like I was, search no further.

Pros: We know it works really well once it's in operation due to that we have the item from before. Just lost the instructions to install.

Cons: Was not as easy to install as promised. We are returning the item to be replaced by another brand that we know is just to plug in and use.
