5 out of 5 eggsGreat quality for good price

Pros: Great little scanner. The desktop footprint (size) is perfect. It even comes with a USB cable so you don't have to purchase one separately. This scanner can handle about 40 pages in the feed tray and will easily let you scan a few thousand documents a day if you keep it well fed. The free Kodak Capture software comes with this scanner and it is pretty decent at creating single or multipage TIFF, JPEG, or PDF files.

Cons: Price. The rubber lip on the inside of the scanner is a consumer replacable part that will need to be replaced regularly if you use this scanner for tens of thousands of documents.

Other Thoughts: Disclaimer: The company I work for sells exclusively Kodak scanners, and we scan millions of documents a year

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice scanner

Pros: This is a VERY nice document scanner. It scans 6 duplex pages (12 pages total) at 600dpi in under a minute and produces very crisp scans with good color balance and contrast.

I prefer scanning from photoshop to save some time and have a little more control over the process. I have to edit the images in photoshop anyway, so the bundled software is just an unecesary middle-man so i havn't used it to any extent.

Cons: the only way to back a sheet out of the autofeeder is by opening the top. there should probably be a backup button to save exposing the scan head and other mechanicals.

Other Thoughts: I work for a publishing company and am using this to digitize our older products for print-on-demand. This scanner came highly recomended from one of our printers and we are very impressed with it.
