Works Like Charm
- Pros: Great PCMCIA card, works like a charm, plug and play device. Two esata connections, both with its individual read/write led light.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: I like vantec, they are great for accessories especially the external hard drives. Great product and great prices on Vantec, (check out the esata 2.5 hard drive enclosure. What a steal!!!

Something's Not Right
- Pros: No
- Cons: This device is totally useless in my Dell 9300. Only getting 12.5MB/sec read speed. When I plus the same drive in USB. I get twice as much...25MB/sec. I've tried every conceivable thing from multiple driver versions and even mid-level manipulation of the evice itself.
I have confirmed that I have a 32-bit 66MHz PCMCIA (PC Card) bus...so it should be better than USB.
- Other Thoughts: If you read this and have any suggestions other than what I have already tried, let me know.
Open and Shut
- Pros: Works out of the box. No annoying drivers or disks needed. Doesn't throw off any heat, also easy to plug in/unplug eSata cables.
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: Make sure you actually have a PCMCIA slot. Buddy bought the same thing for his laptop, when actually he had an Express slot. He's what I'd call "Somewhat low understanding."
