So, you've decided to free yourself from the umbilical cable of your local network and go wireless. You've got your laptop computer. Check. You've got your Linksys Wireless-N router. Check. Now you need your Wireless-N notebook adapter card card.
Wireless-N is faster than the 802.11G standard, and tends towards longer range (up to one hundred fifty feet). But if you don't have a Wireless-N router, you don't have to go Wireless-N all at once if you don't want to; this card is also compatible with the 802.11b/g standards. You will get better range and speeds with a compatible Wireless-N router, however.
Faster speeds, longer ranges, fewer dead-spots; what's not to like? So check it out and decide for yourself, but we think you might just like what you see. And we'll be here, cheerfully waiting to sell it to you.

No complaints here
- Pros: Works well. I don't have any more problems connecting to my wireless network like I did before. The transfer rate is a lot faster than the onboard wireless G I have in my laptop.I have never lost signal while using it.
- Cons: Ocassionally when my computer goes into hibernate I have to reset the card. Thats as simple as unseating the card and reseating it.
Compact, inexpensive and it works
- Pros: Compact in PCMCIA slot, so no ugly antennas like the USB version. Set up is simple. Running is fine with either the Linksys monitor if you like green, or Windows Wireless. We use N speed exclusively on our network and it always connects at 270 mbps, faster than our internet connection
- Cons: The device is sensitive to other RF signals, and noise. In a noisy laptop environment it self throttles back its speed. Even throttled back to 108 mbps, it's still faster than 802.11g however.
- Other Thoughts: I have used Linksys online chat for support. I found them to be helpful, unlike some other company's sites.
We have two of these, on in a Gateway, one in a Vaio and are happy campers.

worthless
- Pros: looks good
- Cons: tryed it when I got it and now it will not even power up.
- Other Thoughts: used ONE DAY! now reinstalled and will not get power. 3 year warranty is a JOKE. unless linksys reads this and sends me a new one I will not but their product again.
solid
- Pros: fast, strong signal strength, good distance, and let's not forget fast. setup the driver on XP and was connected to my linksys N-router within 3 minutes.
- Cons: unfortunately the antenna sticks out like a sore thumb, but is sturdy.
can't ask for more
- Pros: works as advertised, has far better range than I thought it would, although I have not yet upgraded my wireless to draft-n, the signal strength is higher than with my older adapter
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: good price and fast shipping, newegg is OK!
