Excellent
- Pros: - Works great out of the box
- Great bandwidth - Antenna only sticks out 1/2", very nice!
- Cons: None that I can think of
- Other Thoughts: Included drivers installed just fine but Windows update had an alternative driver that I downloaded and it worked flawlessly. Working great.
Follow the directions exactly
- Pros: Once I got it going, it worked really fast.
- Cons: A complete pain in the neck to install. And if you screw something up, good luck getting it right. Had it working on my network. When I gave it back to my brother, he had limited or no connectivity. Couldn't get it to work no matter what. Finally switched his network from WEP to WPA2, and was able to get it working.
- Other Thoughts: Several here: First, do NOT update the driver with Windows Update. It WILL kill it. If you do kill it with the Windows update, or mess up the installation, you will have to uninstall everything and start over. Uninstall the software from the Add/Remove Programs. Then you will have to go to Start->Control Panel->Performance & Maintenance->Administrative Tools->Computer Management->Device Manager->Find the card in the tree view, then right click and uninstall. Reboot and follow the install instructions precisely.
- Pros: Does it's job, big improvement over integrated.
- Cons: Doesn't drop my connection every four seconds. Oh wait that's a pro.
