1 out of 5 eggsWaste of money if you want to use a USB Flash Drive.

Pros: It's small, pops right in to your laptop, has a port for an external power adapter(even though it doesn't list it), Plug n Play and Hot Swappable. USB mice work properly with it, no problem.

Cons: If you buy this thing to plug USB Flash Drives into, don't. I popped it into my Sony Vaio laptop and stuck a flash drive into it and immediately I got a warning in the system tray: "USB Hub Power Exceeded." It has a power port for a DC power adapter, yet adding an adapter only made it worse. My Sony Vaio laptop acted like I was plugging the USB drive in and unplugging it over and over and over, constantly, until I removed the power cable.

Other Thoughts: My Sony Vaio laptop only has 2 USB 2.0 ports so I thought this would be a great way to add more so I could plug in all 4 of my USB Flash Drives to move files onto. I was wrong. I returned it and got my money back. This thing is junk. The only thing that functioned properly in it was my miniature-sized USB travel mouse. Get a powered USB hub, you'll be much happier with it.
