SYBA SY-EXP60001 ExpressCard to CF adapter

Pros: None.

Cons: No drivers automatically detected by Windows. Drivers that came with device does not install properly on Winn7 64bit.

Pros: Works with Mac! Yeah! I took a chance and bought this to transfer my 8 gig Extreme 3 CF cards on my Macbook Pro 17. I moved all my files from the card to my hard drive with no Problems. (See the Cons for the Crashing issues I am having). The other great thing about the card is that it cut my transfer time from 45 minutes (usb adapter) to 7 minutes (ExpressCard to CF)!

Cons: It crashed my system a couple times when I was running too many programs or searching the files through the card via the adapter. I would suggest just moving all your files from the card to the desktop then unplug it before you use it. I have searched for a Mac Driver but have not found one.

Other Thoughts: It's worth the price for a mac. It will save you time when transferring files. I had to find ways to work around the crash issue but once I did it works fine. I will say that if you need a more reliable one with a Driver try another brand.

Other Thoughts: After plugging it in to my thinkpad Z60m, got the found new hardware wizard. It did its thing, said its ready for use. Then tried to install the included drivers, and the installshield wizard said the card needs to be inserted to install the drivers. Hmm. Pulled the card out, got a hardware BSOD. Rebooted. Inserted card, nothing from windows; no beeps, no hardware wizards. Went to control panel -> add new hardware, BSOD. Rebooted. This time tried inserting CF adapter with CF card installed, instant BSOD.

I guess i'll try to get the thing to work on another laptop before I try a return/exchange.
