Pros: Technically you can load the device driver (Win7) and get Windows to recognize the USB ports of the card.
Cons: Useless after that... I'm guessing its due to ExpressCard specification but the USB ports can't even power a memory stick or externally powered USB drive. That makes this device completely useless unless you also purchase a separate 1.3mm 5.4V, 2A DC power adapter to provide power to the USB ports. I couldn't even get a mouse to run off the ports. Very lame...
Other Thoughts: Manual states "built-in DC Jack connector for receiving extra power to meet USB 3.0 +5V/900mA power output standard." My testing found no USB devices are going to work with it unless an external power supply is provided.

Pros: Works as advertised. Better speeds with external hdd.
Cons: You need an external power supply to power the card if you want to use an external HDD. (not included)
Other Thoughts: On the over view it makes no note of the fact that you need a power supply to make it compliant. You have to dig deeper to find that.
