FUJIFILM 16008030 1.5/3.0TB LTO Ultrium 5 Data Cartridge 1 Pack

Pros: Only HP and Fuji are recommended for my drive because they are less abrasive. Fuji is cheaper and I know them to be reliable from past use.

Cons: None, that I've found.

Pros: Tough as nails, capacity as advertised, works just fine with our Tolis Group LTO drive.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: These tapes haven't necessarily been put to the real test-- their archival quality over a great deal of time-- but so far we've had not a single hiccup with them.

Pros: We've only had our LTO system for a few months now, but so far these tapes have proven reliable and trouble-free. Having a hardware write-protect switch is *awesome*!

Cons: Inconsistent tape size? (see other thoughts)

Other Thoughts: Again, we've only had our LTO system for a few months. The hardware compression on our deck varies with content so we've been able to fit anywhere from 1.23TB to 1.8TB of "uncompressed" data on these tapes. I think the inconsistency has nothing to do with the tapes themselves, and more to do with our BRU software and HP deck. We bought a package from the Tolis Group. They recommended the use of Fuji, HP, or Sony tapes, and these are the cheapest of that group.
