5 out of 5 eggsDoes what I need it to

Pros: Does what it's supposed to. Runs my router, modem, and computer (athlon64x2 6000+, 2gb ram, 400gb hdd, radeon4850, 20" widescreen LCD)

Cons: The outlets are spaced somewhat close together, so if you have any of the big fat plugs, it may be a tight fit

Other Thoughts: I have one big fat plug, but it does not block access to the adjacent outlet; larger ones may, however. This thing won't keep everything running indefinitely, but I use it more for those brief power flickers. I have a rather touchy router that doesn't always hold a connection after a restart, so this prevents me from having to mess with it for half an hour after a split second outage.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat UPS for the correct job

Pros: Wall Mountable, Lightweight, Small Foot Print, Long A/C Cord.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: While this unit is not well suited for your standard computer and monitor setup we find it works well for all your network devices...Router, Modem, Switches and all other low power devices. We have been using in instances where all network devices are within close proximity & with laptop computers.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: It works. Good price, good operation, fast shipping. A bit slow to charge, but who cares, it keeps the power on to your system durring those pesky brownouts and short power outages.

Cons: ??? Cons on a product from newegg? NEVER!

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my mom's small system, and it keeps her from loosing her current game of solitare :)

4 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: very easy setup, program easy to understand, everything good on paper-

Cons: haven't used it in a power out situation so can't comment on duration it actually provides of power, first time I installed program something messed up, 2nd install was flawless-

Other Thoughts: Its a great UPS for the money, I would have been happier if I could have have found a decent one in town and not paid for the killer shipping- but meh-

1 out of 5 eggsWorst UPS Ever

Pros: Provides battery back-up power

Cons: Worst drivers in the world.
No UPS drivers for Windows, must install special software.
Software installation requires serial number to continue, bt did not recognize my serial number.
Don't buy this one.

Other Thoughts: Virtually all UPS devices (APC, Tripp-lite, with USB ports are plug-n-play in windows. Once connected, they appear in the "Power Options" module in the Control Panel.
From there you can see the device status (AC power, battery level), and specify actions to take in case of a power out (hibernate, shut down, etc.)

5 out of 5 eggsGood UPS for Home / Small Office

Pros: Shutdown software works as advertised. I especially like the feature that allows you to see the current Load voltage and % battery power rmaining.

Cons: You have to reset the device before it lets power through after it shuts itself down.

Other Thoughts: I tested it on a Sony Vaio Desktop with 2.8GHz Pentium and a 19" LCD, with MS Word and AIM running. Battery lasted about 5 min before automatically shutting down, probably could have lasted another 2-3 min if auto-shutdown was turned off. (Although it would have lasted less if I was running something more resource intensive like a game or doing photo editing, etc. but still would buy time to save the files).

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: USB interface. Good Surge Protection. Small form factor. Good electrical fault sensing.

Cons: Short battery life.

Other Thoughts: I have a couple of these in the field, and I recommend them for my clients with a budget. They get the job done as far as preventing hardware damage, but if you're looking for more than a minue or two of battery life, look elsewhere.

2 out of 5 eggsnot very good

Pros: does stop surges ok

Cons: you get what you pay for...battery life very low

Other Thoughts: I've bought 6 or 8 of these for office desktop use....sent 2 back so far for complete failure after 3 to 6 months. Every time a surge occurs, the thing clicks and clicks, and the warning light stays on until you power the unit off. When we've had power outages, about half of them only lasted a couple minutes..nowhere near what they're rated for....2 failed completely. I'd spend a little more money and get something with more power...and different brand like cyberpower or apc. I give 2 eggs because they do stop surges well.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks for me..

Comments: It's the first UPS I've owned. Bought it because I've been playing Battlefield 2,.. and I'm always a chopper pilot. Well.. my power went out 3 times in one day while I was flying 5 to victory... That's the worst. I've had no issues since. I've tested and it works great. It's only a little larger than it looked from the picture,.. but it's a UPS!!
