Pros: This thing is a tank. It has been among my most solid UPSes. Big capacity for the dollar, and the VA rating seems accurate and not overestimated like many seem to be lately. Manageable over Ethernet via RMCARD100.
Cons: Classic UPS form factor means you had better have plenty of room for it. No local display on the front. Get a surge strip, as the plug arrangement in the back is not the best.
Other Thoughts: I have this inside a remote control panel protecting an Allen Bradley PLC and a bunch of other sensors and telemetry gear. It is only at 4% utilization so it may be a bit oversized, but it will power that gear for over 3.5 hours. That panel is regularly over 100 degrees F and the UPS just sits there doing its thing without any complaint.
Came back to the Egg for an OP650 to replace it so I could move the OP850 to another panel with a higher demand. Will put the new one on Ethernet too. It is great to be able to be able to put them on a network: try that with anything else in this price class.
After trying about 4 other UPS brands over the years, including the industry leader, I would say CyberPower has become the brand that I have had the most solid user experience with. Not the sexiest, but no down side either.

Rating: 1/52 replacements in a row
Pros: Nothing in particular
Cons: First one was DOA. Second one I have to send in for warranty replacement after 2 months (at my own shipping cost -- these things weigh a ton and are expensive to ship).
Manufacturer Response:
Thank you for taking the time to submit comments on the OP850 – we greatly appreciate the feedback. First off I’d like to apologize for the issues you’ve had with our two units; our OP line is a very solid series and traditionally we’ve had very few problems with these units. I’d just like to add that CyberPower will reimburse all shipping fees if the units are DOA, and replace the units free of charge. Thanks, CyberPower.
