5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Quiet. Lots of outlets. Software works well with win 7.

Cons: None really

Other Thoughts: Connected the pc, the nas, modem and router to the backup outlets. On full charge it reports that it can survive 80 minutes (this is an i7 920 with an ati 577X).
I installed the app on the pc and told it to shut it off if it's on batteries for more than 5 minutes.

Not a con for the UPS, but I would have liked it to have more than one USB plugs. This way it could shut down the nas as well. Not a biggie though. With the PC off in minutes the chances are the nas will not use up the battery before the power's back.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat value

Pros: I've bought two of these over time, and they always shine. Great for keeping my SOHO server and networking equipment up during outages. Able to plug in multiple wall warts due to spaced plugs.

Cons: As with all power devices, gets hot if not given adequate airflow. Wouldn't recommend keeping it on a soft surface like carpet, I had to use the side panel off an old computer to keep it from getting too hot.

Other Thoughts: If you need a reliable battery backup for a budget price, get this. I fortunately did not lose power enough to rigorously test it.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I didn't buy this from newegg, but I kinda liked it - did what it had to do. I don't think I would buy it again though.

Cons: - Don't have a very long battery life.
- Stopped working after about a year.

3 out of 5 eggsPower rating seems off

Pros: Price was good amd the software seemed allright. It should work fine for something less than a gaming computer.

Cons: Upon returning from Vista 64's sleep mode, the computer couldn't establish a link with the UPS. If it went back into sleep mode and re-awoke, it would then be able to establish a link.

I had my CPU and Monitor plugged into the battery portion of the UPS and the software said it was running around 230 watts. I thought all was well until I started up a game. About 10 seconds into Left 4 Dead 2, it made a squeel noise and computer shut down. The software didn't have any "history" software, so I don't know how many watts my computer tried to pull. So I plugged the monitor into the bypass portion of the UPS (software now read about 200 watts) and then tried L4D2; it died again. So my Vid card must be pulling another 130w+, or the UPS can't handle it. Even running at 200-220w, it said backup time would be around 5 minutes.

Other Thoughts: AMD Phenom II x4 940 O.C (3.6ghz)
4GB RAM
Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4P
(1) XFX GTX285
(1) 1GB SATA Drive
(1) DVD R/W
Vista 64

I went out and got a bigger unit (750w) from another manufacturer. I have since put in a 2nd Hard drive, plugged in the Computer, Monitor, Cable Modem, wireless router, and it says I'm only pulling 216w (approx 16 minute run time if power failure).

5 out of 5 eggsSolid brand

Pros: I have bought four surge protectors from CyberPower over the past couple years and can say for certain that all of my equipment is fully protected and I have no doubts or worries that anything could go wrong, but just in case it does...CyberPower backs this puppy up with a $75,000 connected equipment warranty. Now that's what I call protection!

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: The software is a great management tool and will even shut down your computer for you if you're away when the power goes out for any extended period of time.

3 out of 5 eggspoor, poor drop shipping

Pros: UPS should work Fine, decent price

Cons: I had to write a review for newegg because of the condition the item arrived in. The company that drop-shipped the item did not place it in another box, they stuck the UPS lable on the product box, that wasn't designed for straight shipping. The box arrived dirty and marred. There is no way I cn resell this item in the condition it arrived.

Other Thoughts: Very un-professional shipping practice. I expect more from newegg.

3 out of 5 eggsaverage product

Pros: I bought it for those rare times where there is power outage. Seems to work ok.

Cons: seemed like it was stocked in warehouse for a v long time and the packing cover was also partially torn.

Other Thoughts: average product, there are better ones out there.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks with Linux

Pros: inexpensive, many sockets

Cons: manufacturer software only compiled for 32-bit linux

Other Thoughts: For those running 64-bit linux, you will need to use nut. For this unit, unfortunately the nut compatibility site is incorrect. The driver you want in your ups.conf file is "usbhid-ups"
