CyberPower's line of Intelligent LCD models give you vital UPS statistics available at the push of a button. These models have 11 Toggle Diagnostic modes, RJ11/45/Coax dataline protection, AVR line conditioning, and PowerPanel Power Management Software. The CP1000AVRLCD provides 600 Watts of output, offering you enough time to close files and protect data in an outage.
It has nine surge- protected outlets, five of which are linked to the battery power, with one spaced for transformer use, all in a compact unit able to protect all of your communications outlets and data lines. Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) ensures that all your electronics are receiving clean power and stabilizes the voltage to a nominal 120VAC.
The PowerPanel software provides audible alarms, displays remaining battery power, current AC voltage, runtime, estimated shutdown, and a log file of all events affecting performance, and announces when things are back to normal. It’s Windows Vista compliant, and the unit is manufactured in an ISO-9001 tested environment. CyberPower also offers a #1 rated technical support team that will assist you with product, installation, or warranty concerns --- Free of Charge! Protect your data and communications investment today!
1000VA Output On a full charge of 8 hours, the CyberPower CP1000AVRLCD UPS will provide 1 minute (at full load) or 6 minutes (at half load) of battery time, sufficient for closing your editing files and protecting data in case of power outage. The built-in battery delivers 600W output, enough to support most mainstream PCs with LCD monitors.
Built-in LCD Diagnostic Display The CyberPower CP1000AVRLCD UPS features a large LCD diagnostic display with indigo-blue backlight for easy viewing of real-time system vitals such as battery capacity, current draw, estimated runtime, voltage input/output, output frequency, output consumption and more.
Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) With Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), the CyberPower CP1000AVRLCD UPS serves as an intermediary between the power source and connected devices to stabilize the AC power flow. Guarded by AVR, your devices are fully protected from most power problems via five battery/surge protected outlets and four surge protected outlets. The RJ11/RJ45 and RG-6 coaxial ports are featured for full dataline protection.
PowerPanel PE Power Management Software Connect the CyberPower CP1000AVRLCD UPS to your computer via the USB or Serial port, and install the PowerPanel PE Power Management Software - your system is now worry-free from power outage. The intelligent PowerPanel PE Power Management Software automatically saves and closes your open files and then shuts down the computer in a power outage. The Power Management software has been fully tested and is compliant with Windows 9x, 2000, Server, XP, and Vista.
Pros: This unit has everything I wanted in a small form factor and functionally has met all my expectations.
Cons: Nothing significant.

Rating: 1/5Not as good as advertised
Pros: looks good
Cons: Battery life is severely diminished with anything more than 1 PC and 1 monitor. Life remaining on LED display in NEVER accurate when a power failure occurs
Other Thoughts: If it gives slots to be plugged into, it should be able to allow at least 3 minutes to power down those items plugged in. I am lucky if i get 1 1/2 minutes. On top of that, My PC has had the blue screen of death 2 times requiring tech support to resolve fatal problems. Each time i was not able to power PC down in time during a storm. Whether the surge protection is working is anyone guess. I have other computers not even connected to this that have never had a problem during storms and power outages.

Rating: 5/5Great!
Pros: Excellent product, using in Afghanistan on dirty generator power. the AVR feature makes sure that no more than 115v gets to our ASUS Home server, and 3 personal laptops. Even pushing all those and two wireless routers battery backup time is about 55 minutes.
Cons: None...

Rating: 5/5Great value!
Pros: Good value for the money. AVR feature is a huge plus... meaning you can run during some brown out conditions without taxing the battery. Battery is replaceable. Small & compact unit. Includes SW that allows for automated shut-down of your PC during a power failure(haven't tried this yet)
Cons: I thought I had read somewhere that this unit had a single outlet on the back that was tied into the AVR & surge protection but did not draw from the battery. This is not clear from labeling on the unit or any of the supplied documentation. Some ports are labelled "surge protection" but it does not say whether this includes the AVR feature anywhere... UPS power button should be recessed into the enclosure more... but I guess you can't have everything.
Other Thoughts: Another reviewer commented that this UPS is not compatible with PC power supplies that have active power factor correction. I found this not true. I have a corsair CX400 supply that has active power factor correction. I unplugged the UPS from the wall and my PC didn't skip a beat... no flicker, everything was perfect. I'm running 2 monitors and a PC from this UPS. UPS shows I have 20+ minutes of capacity with this load.

Rating: 5/5Easily a must have
Pros: I bought this unit when Newegg had it on a little sale a couple of days ago. I had been planning to for a while so I could move my TV and stereo off my big unit, a CyberPower 900w, that also protects my computer system. So far it looks like the same reliability my 900w unit has.
Cons: None I can see. Some say the software sucks, but what do you want? Works fine with Windows 7 and USB plug and play.
Other Thoughts: Having also owned an APC I don't see the difference between the two...maybe a "name brand tax" with the APC. Everyone should have one of these (or a 900w if you own a Plasma TV) to protect their entertainment system. This unit, even at full price, is only about 4x as expensive as a quality surge protector, but you get AVR as well and a battery backup that will let you watch the weather if there is a tornado around and the power cuts out, for a little while.

Rating: 5/5Very nice UPS
Pros: Small, lots of info. available using the LCD display. Ultimate Edition picks it up with no problem so it can be configured by power management in Ultimate Edition or Ubuntu. That's Linux for you windows people. I have had power outages and it switches over smoothly with my PFC PSU. Definitely would recommend.
Cons: The windows software leaves a lot to be desired.
Other Thoughts: Only running at a 27% load with this build and attachments to the UPS connections.

Rating: 5/5Very good, better than APC IMO.
Pros: Excellent runtime with moderate to low load. Decent size for power output. LCD display works well. Software works as advertisied.
Cons: Software works well but has limited adjustments. You CAN turn off the buzzer, set it to go off differently... But you only have 2-8 mins after the power is out or 1-5 mins before it's out of power to shutdown the computer. Would like it to be load based off percentage of depleation... But it does work.
Other Thoughts: Cyberpower units are sturdy, reliable and well built. Best of all the batterys inside are standards based. Save your APC money buy something like this. I have a larger unit on my iMac and a fourth on my Modem, router, vpn, NAS. This unit running an atom 330 based server runs for a little over 1hr 20min on battery power.
Software allows scheduled tests with email report - NICE.

Pros: Connected to iMac and displayed status correctly. Easy to use. Seems to be working correctly across glitches and extended outages.
Cons: Occasionally reports "on battery power" for no apparent reason. Perhaps a little overly sensitive on switch-over. Only the default built-in Mac power monitoring application works. No "advanced" (unit-specific) driver available, so if there are additional features here, you won't see them.

Rating: 4/5So far so good!
Pros: Great price, simple to setup, was recognized immediately via USB on our Mac Pro running OSX 10.6.3.
I'm going to let the unit charge for a few days before I test anything. So far it seems well built, and worth the money.
Cons: It looks like the runtime we'll get on-battery for the rig we're using isn't great, but I expected it.
Sounds like we'll get 4 minutes with the following running on battery: (1) Mac Pro 2x Dual Core Xeon (three internal hard drives) (2) Lacie Raid 1 500 gig drives (4 500G drives) (1) DroboS with four drives in it (2) 23+ inch monitors
Not a major con, but a little disappointing nonetheless
Other Thoughts: When I opened the packaging, a very acrid chemical smell was present. Odd.
