2 out of 5 eggsbattery life is not what i expected

This review is from: CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD 1350 VA / 810 W PFC Pure Sine Wave UPS w/ USB Charging Ports

Pros: looks good and has usb charging ports

Cons: a bit under a year after i purchased it, after each self test.regardless how often i would do it, the battery life would only show 25-30% and of course if i loose the power the pc would shut down right away. I did one self test yesterday, showed 27% and charging. this morning when i got to the computer it showed 100% charge, but guess what, after doing another self test, it showed 27% again and i keep getting popups that the thing doesnt have enough juice and i should unplug things.
very dissatisfied with the product. Can not rely on it at all

3 out of 5 eggsSurge Protection affects internet speed

This review is from: CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD 1350 VA / 810 W PFC Pure Sine Wave UPS w/ USB Charging Ports

Pros: Easy to set up. Just plug and play really.

Cons: This CyberPower unit advertises surge protection for your network connection and it has a in/out jack for the network cable. You connect the network cable through the CyberPower unit instead of directly from the wall/router to the computer.

Well, the connection works except the internet speed becomes unusable.
I have a 100Mbps provider and used to get 10M/s downloads.
By passing the network cable through the UPS the speed goes down to a crawl. Even simple webpages fail to load completely and downloads fail constantly.

I had to go back to connecting straight to the wall which defeats the purpose of having a power surge unit in the first place.

Other Thoughts: Disappointed already.

Though it's too early for me to judge the quality of the other features.
Hope the uninterruptable supply and the pure sine wave quality are better then this surge protection.

5 out of 5 eggsPeace of Mind Device

This review is from: CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD 1350 VA / 810 W PFC Pure Sine Wave UPS w/ USB Charging Ports

Pros: several outlets,
dependable
high power
high va rating

It works, has saved me from numerous brownouts over the past 5 years, I still use it and trust it.

Cons: design, its bulky.

A cool design would be power ports on the side, as you need them accessible, as well as rearranging its power cord so its easier to pack. The tough cable coming out like a tail really makes it harder to organize, it should be more manageable or removable.

Other Thoughts: I have been repairing computers for years and I have used this as the central point of power for my personal pc and all of my customers pcs.

I don't know enough about this type of device to make a great review, but I do know, that this guy has enough power for my pc and several customers and lcds all at the same time. I general run two or 3 surge protectors off of this device.
It has saved me from countless brownouts with plenty of time to shut down in case power is really out.

4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD 1350 VA / 810 W PFC Pure Sine Wave UPS w/ USB Charging Ports

Pros: LCD Display is easy to read and shows useful information like current power draw. Provides status via USB and has surge protection for coax & phone as well.

Cons: Only 5 of the outlets are actually battery-powered. Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see anything in the description stating that only half of the 10 outlets are battery-powered. The other 5 are no more useful than a $5 surge protector.

4 out of 5 eggsUnboxing, first thoughts.

This review is from: CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD 1350 VA / 810 W PFC Pure Sine Wave UPS w/ USB Charging Ports

Pros: 1. Packaging is pretty good. But the wrap and foam shipping protection.
2. Everything including all cables and manuals are in the box.

Cons: 1. This is not pure sinewave, do not believe the discription on newegg.Com. It 8s something called adaptive sinewave, I jave never heard of this and can seem to find too much information about it. Subtracting 1 star due to flash advertising.

Other Thoughts: I haven't used this UPS yet because it requires you to charge it for 8 hours before use. But everything (execpt for the sinewave not being pure) look good so far.

1 out of 5 eggsGood UPS , but needs you to spend extra time on rest of items.

This review is from: CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD 1350 VA / 810 W PFC Pure Sine Wave UPS w/ USB Charging Ports

Pros: UPS is functioning good so far. What you can expect from a good unit.
Did couple of tests by plugging out the wall outlet can keep my server + PC + monitor and a lamp running.

Cons: Package arrives unsealed.
There were no Software CD, no warranty registration card, no cables, no setup guide and heck no user manual.

Lefts me wondering if package was tampered with or its manufacturer that didn't bother mentioning that search for everything else yourself.

Atleast newegg is good to generate RMA.
