1 out of 5 eggsGood UPS , but needs you to spend extra time on rest of items.

This review is from: CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD UPS 1350VA / 810W PFC compatible Pure sine wave

Pros: UPS is functioning good so far. What you can expect from a good unit.
Did couple of tests by plugging out the wall outlet can keep my server + PC + monitor and a lamp running.

Cons: Package arrives unsealed.
There were no Software CD, no warranty registration card, no cables, no setup guide and heck no user manual.

Lefts me wondering if package was tampered with or its manufacturer that didn't bother mentioning that search for everything else yourself.

Atleast newegg is good to generate RMA.

5 out of 5 eggsInformative display, still good 3 years later

This review is from: CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD UPS 1350VA / 810W PFC compatible Pure sine wave

Pros: I have been happy with this UPS for almost three years. This unit has a very informative display, showing important information such as % battery remaining, load in watts, VA, and % of UPS capacity, and best of all, estimated run time. It served me well during Hurricane Sandy in NJ, keeping me informed of how much longer I could keep recharging my laptop and cell phone.

The battery is still healthy after almost three years. As a test, I unplugged it from the wall while it fed my 27" monitor and high-wattage desktop PC with about 250 watts. After 15 minutes of simple web browsing, the battery was at 10%. It seems it will take a very long time to recharge, increasing only 1% every 10 minutes or so.

Overall, I'm glad to have this sturdy, informative unit. Being informed is a huge advantage over simpler major-brand UPSs I've owned in the past.

Cons: None that I can think of.

3 out of 5 eggsUnexpected F02 Error

This review is from: CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD UPS 1350VA / 810W PFC compatible Pure sine wave

Pros: Quiet, lots of runtime, and the PPE software.
It has effectively run in power outages before and allowed me plenty of time to turn off my server

Cons: Slight power glitch in house twice in two weeks, and has failed with code F02. The server gets completely shut down instantly (which tells me beatteries did not kick in), and displaying code F02 on the front while giving a continuous warning beep.

I was using my computer the first time (which UPS worked fine), when the power glitched and the server shut down hard. I figured maybe a relay or something didn't have time to kick in and restarted it all.

Now this morning I awoke to the shrill beep, server off, and code F02 again.

I am NOT happy! I can't even find any reference on the web to code F02. The entire server never draws more than 163 Watts according to the LCD readout, so it is NOT an overload.

Other Thoughts: This is not good. When you are one of the only UPS manufacturers promoting PureSineWave UPS's then you better have a product that doesn't take it's customers equipment with it. I can only hope everything is alright with my server, since I am not turning it back on at this point.

4 out of 5 eggsVery Good UPS

This review is from: CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD UPS 1350VA / 810W PFC compatible Pure sine wave

Pros: The UPS looks sturdy and it´s heavy. With 500W of usage I get about 5 min of battery backup, although on idle (200W) I get about half and hour to shut down my computer. The true sine wave prevented my PSU from making an awful noise when I used an old UPS that did not output a sine wave.

The Software is OK, shuts down your computer and gives basic info about the UPS

Cons: The Ethernet ports for surge protection are not very sturdy, and one contact broke easily which now means that I have to move the cable so I can get a connection using these ports.

Other Thoughts: I will recommend 100% if you want to have very good protection for your computer

4 out of 5 eggs4 letters - PPBE

This review is from: CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD UPS 1350VA / 810W PFC compatible Pure sine wave

Pros: Supports the FREE PowerPanel Business Edition VM Appliance !!!!
1350VA keeps a Xeon E3-1245 w/6 WD Red drives up for an hour under light load.

Cons: LCD Watt display seems off...jumpy at low load, VA display seems more consistent.

Other Thoughts: If you run, or want to run, VMware ESXi, you want this UPS because it works with CyberPower's FREE PowerPanel Business Edition VM Appliance. PPBE will gracefully shutdown your entire VMWare environment on outages...you cannot believe what a good deal that is unless you cost-out the solutions offered by the other UPS vendors when it comes to virtual environments. Search YouTube for "CyberPower PPBE" for a good demo of how it works.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Value - 3 yr battery

This review is from: CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD UPS 1350VA / 810W PFC compatible Pure sine wave

Pros: affordable. Nice LCD. Will power on even if power is out.

Cons: When the battery is dead the entire UPS is useless. This is "by Design" according to Cyber Power but extremely annoying when you need your equipment to keep running. I would expect that UPS to continue operating as a surge protector even is the battery is dead.

Other Thoughts: Battery lasted 3 years, which seems to be normal. I will say that this particular unit experience 238 power events in normal use before giving up the ghost. So all in all I am happy. It looks like replacement batteries are easily available. Although I find replacement batteries seem to generally last only 2 years.

3 out of 5 eggsCheck it regularly

This review is from: CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD UPS 1350VA / 810W PFC compatible Pure sine wave

Pros: Support for PFC supplies.
Fair amount of power for the price.
Three year warranty.
Two USB charger ports on front.
Power Panel professional edition is awesome for remote admin.

Cons: Died a silent death.

Other Thoughts: Bought two of these on sale. Bought almost triple the capacity that I needed (one unit had 22 min runtime and the other had 45 when power was lost). The one that died gave no indication that anything was wrong. Power glitched and it showed a F2 (overload) fault code and the alarm came on. The other one acted normally. Thinking it was a glitch I restarted it at did a self test. It faulted again with an overload. Disconnected all loads and unplugged it from the outlet and it faulted again showing overload. Pulled the batteries out of caution. The one that died had about a 250 watt load on it. Disappointed but for the price point I cannot really expect much since it is about the lowest cost supply that supports PFC.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent UPS.

This review is from: CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD UPS 1350VA / 810W PFC compatible Pure sine wave

Pros: Keeps my desktop PC + all accessories powered on through thick and thin. Had no trouble with device, aside from one instance (see Other Thoughts). Excellent customer service.

Cons: Aside from a defective UPS the first time around, none.

Other Thoughts: The first UPS I received was defective & stopped functioning approximately two months after first use. Friends at the house described the failure as a series of beeps, followed by a loud bang, then electronic smoke. Subsequent attempts to power on the device resulted in a continuous beep, plus an error code that I can not recall, nor am I able to locate it in my file. However, the representative that helped me was a great asset to their company, and I had a replacement UPS as fast as the mail could carry it.

4 out of 5 eggsUpdate to previous review

This review is from: CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD UPS 1350VA / 810W PFC compatible Pure sine wave

Pros: See first review

Cons: See first review

Other Thoughts: Having paid 1/3rd the cost of this unit to USPS to send it back to CyberPower for RMA (UPS and FedEx were more expensive), I received the replacement unit yesterday after about two and a half weeks after CyberPower received my unit. It must have been very defective as they sent me a completely new unit, you can tell by the smell. I fully drained the battery and let it recharge overnight, and it was back to 100% after about 10 hours.
