4 out of 5 eggsSolid UPS

Pros: Purchased to keep my home server available for short power outages. so far, we have had 1 power outage for about 30 minutes and had no down time.

- Hassle free setup, if you don't mind the default settings and not being able to monitor it.

- Perfect for hooking up my router, modem, and server with the 4 outlets.

Cons: - Not easily managed with the UPSMON Utility and driver supplied. the utility only functions for about 5 minutes before losing connectivity to the device through USB.

- Unable to set the alarm volume when power is lost, not recommended for an apartment.

Other Thoughts: Overall, this device functions as it I had hoped. If the UPSMON was functioning correctly with the device. You could set it up to safely shutdown your devices before the battery is depleted.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It has worked properly for over a year now. It takes a pair of very common UPS batteries if they need to be replaced.

Cons: Monitoring software didn't work.

Other Thoughts: I bought this exact same UPS in the past with the brand name of Ultra on the case. The software is identical for the Black Knight and the Ultra. The monitoring software worked for the Ultra right out of the box. The Knight does not as Windows detects a plug and play device and installs some driver that seems to block the monitoring software that comes with the UPS. Gave up and never bothered to research why.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Best UPS I have ever had

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have the original model of this (without the usb connection) and have been running it for years now with absolutely no problem. Highly recommend it.

3 out of 5 eggsDoes not perform as listed

Pros: Works fine on a 110 current.

Cons: This product states that it can do both 110/220 input. However when I plug this thing into 220 it does not work. I paid more money for shipping and handling then what the product cost so that I would have something with good power on a 220 power grid. I am very unhappy to spend the extra money i did to get this one with the only bearing being that it was 110/220 auto sensing.

Other Thoughts: If the description did not have 110/220 as an input I would not have bought this product. If you are looking to use it on a 220 power grid look elsewhere.
