Tripp Lite INTERNET350SER UPS System Description

Power problems—including blackouts, brownouts, power surges and line noise—threaten your investment! They can damage or destroy PCs and other expensive equipment, wipe out valuable data and files, and degrade component performance. Get protected against these all-too-common power threats with Tripp Lite’s INTERNET350SER UPS System. It provides reliable battery backup that can keep a basic desktop PC operational for up to 15 minutes during blackouts. Surge suppression and EMI/RFI line noise filtering prevent hardware damage and performance problems such as poor-quality audio and video output. The INTERNET350SER’s 350VA/180W power rating provides capacity for a wide range of home and office PC setups, workstations and point-of-sale systems. It features three battery-supported AC outlets for computer, monitor and other vital system peripherals, plus three surge suppression-only outlets for accessories not requiring battery support. One set of tel/DSL (RJ11) jacks protects connected equipment on a tel/DSL line. One DB9 serial communication port, when used with free PowerAlert software (available from Tripp as a Web download) enables unattended system shutdown and file saves in case of a prolonged power failure. The INTERNET350SER comes with $100,000 of Ultimate Lifetime Insurance coverage for connected equipment and a three-year product warranty.

Ideal for Protection of Home or Office PCs and Peripherals

Feature Focus

Key Features

Ideal for Protection of Home or Office PCs and Peripherals
With a 350VA/180W capacity, reliable battery backup, tel/DSL jacks and a DB9 serial communication port, the INTERNET350SER offers a complete power protection solution for a wide range of home and office electronics. The INTERNET350SER features a split-outlet design with six total 5-15R outlets: three to provide battery backup support and surge protection for computers, monitors and other critical components; three to provide surge protection only for peripherals such as printers and scanners that do not need battery backup.

Reliable Battery Backup
UPS battery backup support allows you to work through short power failures, and provides time to save files and perform an orderly system shutdown in case of a prolonged blackout. The INTERNET350SER features an internal battery that provides 10 min. of battery support for a half load (90 Watts) and 2.5 min. of battery support for a full load (180 watts). During normal operation, incoming utility power keeps the UPS battery fully charged so that backup power will always be available if needed.

Reliable Battery Backup

Surge Suppression
A sudden power surge or spike can damage or destroy electronic components and wipe out irreplaceable data. The INTERNET350SER features 510 joules of surge suppression to protect all connected components and the data they contain.

EMI/RFI Line Noise Filtering

EMI/RFI Line Noise Filtering
Various electromagnetic and radio sources can cause disruptive interference on the AC line. This line noise is a common cause of incremental hardware damage, data corruption and audio/video performance problems. The INTERNET350SER incorporates technology that filters out disruptive line noise, preventing it from affecting your equipment.

Data Line Protection
The INTERNET350SER includes one set of tel/DSL (RJ11) jacks to protect a standard telephone, fax, dialup modem or DSL connection.

Free PowerAlert Software

DB9 Port and Free PowerAlert Software
The INTERNET350SER features a DB9 serial communication port (DB9 cable included). When used with Tripp Lite’s free PowerAlert software (available from Tripp Lite as a Web download), this serial port enables safe unattended system shutdown and file saves in the event of a prolonged power failure.

Versatile Installation Options
The INTERNET350SER features a space-saving, ultra-compact housing that fits on a desktop, a shelf or almost anywhere. Its 6ft power cord features a right-angle plug that allows furniture to be placed flush against the wall. The INTERNET350SER’s housing is equipped with integrated keyhole mounting slots for secure wall-mount installation.

3-Year Warranty and Environmentally Responsible Design

Three-Year Warranty and Environmentally Responsible Design
The INTERNET350SER is manufactured in compliance with strict RoHS specifications, reflecting Tripp Lite’s commitment to environmental responsibility. For peace of mind, it comes backed by a three-year warranty and $100,000 of Ultimate Lifetime Insurance.

Pros: It did protect the PC that was attached...

They are lower priced - but also low quality. Sorry Tripp-Lite, but this is the second time I've been burned by your products.

Cons: I'm a systems administrator at a company and we have many UPS's running. This came as a "freebie" with a big computer order I placed.

It worked until the first storm came through. All of the APC units held up and worked fine - even on the same circuit. This one dropped out and is fried. Does not work anymore. Will not even pass power.

Other Thoughts: We have some 15 year old Tripp Lite UPS's that work like champs. I just keep replacing batteries and they keep working. The new products just must not be the same quality.

APC is the way to go. Excellent products and support.

1 out of 5 eggsFailed within the first week

Pros: None.

Cons: Failed within the first week. Battery backup side randomly powers off completely even with no fluctuation or failure in the AC.

Other Thoughts: Paid 20 bucks for shipping, then had to pay 15 bucks to return it. Total of $35 for shipping on a $40 defective item. What?!? I hope Newegg does something nice for me after all the things I've ordered (and was planning to order).

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for PC

Pros: Good Price, Compact, Plug & Play you do not have to connect battery "almost" anyone can figure it out

Cons: At about the 3yr mark you have to replace

Other Thoughts: We do Line to Generator power transfer test monthly besides all the storms that pass thru area just south of St Louis. We have about 30 of this and so far they have proved to be reliable
