2 out of 5 eggsShuts down unexpectedly

Pros: Worked well for about 2 years.

Cons: After approximately 2 years of working the unit started to shutdown itself randomly. The shutdowns were happening even with very light load, like a broadband router and a computer in the standby mode, just a few watts of power. I thought the battery needed replacement, and bought a replacement. Unfortunately, that did not solve the problem, so I'm looking for a new UPS (from another company!)

Other Thoughts: Read the reviews before buying!

Pros: Price

Cons: Erratic operation. Does not protect equipment.

Other Thoughts: Unit turns off or "resets" randomly. I had a card that failed due to improper shutdown because of this. Tripplite refused to honor their protection guarantee. I will never buy another Tripplite product.

Pros: there are some pros, but what could possibly outweigh the fact that a lot of these units apparently fail.

Cons: Before you buy this product, use your favorite search engine to do brief research on this part number (INTERNET750U). You will see LOTS and LOTS of people that have the same problem: After you own it for 18mos-2yrs, it just shuts off at random periodically. Mine does the same thing. I can't paint Tripp-Lite with a broad brush, but this product is a STINK BOMB.

Other Thoughts: Tripp-Lite won't fix it or tell me what's wrong with it. Is it the battery? I don't know. If it is, that's an easy fix, but I'm taking a chance that it's not the battery and throwing good money after bad. Not a good situation.

2 out of 5 eggsTripp Lite Did Not Last

Pros: One of the few UPS designs that provides plenty of space between outlets to connect power blocks (AC adapters). Can be wall mounted.

Cons: I owned two of these and they both died after a few years.

Other Thoughts: I'm going on 5 years with another brand of UPS (begins with "O") with no problems. Could just be lucky.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent UPS

Pros: It has plenty of outlets with to plug in all of the equipment. You can choose between UPS power and just surge protection.

Cons: None for the particular application for which this is intended.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Value

Pros: Decent plug layout and cord length. Good for the average bear...

Cons: Not a standard USB type cable.

Other Thoughts: This makes for a great small business or home UPS. Let's face it, most of us use a UPS for surge protection and to prevent power loss during brief flickers. Do yourself a favor and don't install any UPS included software as the majority don't adapt well to OS updates.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat product.

Pros: CHeaper than competition, same performance.

Cons: GUI for this product is a little more basic than other brands, but still has same functionality.

Other Thoughts: This is a great unit. I deal with APC at office but these Tripp Lites work the same.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat pickup!

Pros: Easy to install on Win Xp Pro Sp3. Did not require tripp lite software, as soon as I plugged in the usb cable (see cons*), the OS installed the device and I was able to use Windows Power Mang. software. Which I like better. Power inputs spaced far enough for those big power bricks.

Cons: I dont understand, if you look at the pictures it shows a USB cable and a USB port. However when I opened up my unit, I did have a USB cable, but it was USB to RJ - 11 (phone cord). Still worked ( so no egg's off), but just wasn't expecting that. So now if the cable gets messed up, I will have to go buy a special one. (which I don't like)

Other Thoughts: Reason I like the OS software to manage because most of the 3rd party programs I have encountered (APC & Tripp lite), only allow the shutting down of your pc. Most would say, thats all you need, however I like how in Windows, you can Dim the monitor or shut down programs when the battery turns on. (ex running scheduled task). I highly recommend the purchase of UPS's that can be controlled by Windows. Also the less 3rd party software installed, the better your windows will run.

As always, feel free to gmail my nickname with any questions or comments

5 out of 5 eggsvery satisfied

Pros: This is a very good product and i would recommend it to anyone. i live out in the boonies and sometimes we randomly lose power. This thing will keep up my laptop (alien 9750) & my 22.1" wide screen samsung 225bw for over an 1.5 hours. i haven't tried it for longer but that i pretty good in my opinion. my laptop is power hungry and you need to feed that hunger to do what you want to do.

Cons: solar power?
