4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good small ups to use with low power items, good features for the price

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: My issue is with Newegg, this item description stated that input and output voltage are as follows 120VAC,220/230/240VAC. I purchased it because i needed one with input 220VAC and output 120VAC.The item that i received only operates on 120VAC.Due to my location it will cost me more than the cost price of the item to return it. If you are going to buy one ask questions to make sure you get what you want

3 out of 5 eggsLack of powerdown function

Pros: good for small equiptment without having to go out and spend alot of $. Has an option to 'remote' in to the UPS to get power satistics, kinda cool.

Cons: There is a lack for the option to shut the system down, I bought this UPS for my router, cable modem, and a NAS drive so that when I have LAN parties and/or want to download files, the drive can do that for me, but, if I'm not home and the power goes out, I'd like for the file xfers to stop and the NAS drive to shut down. I just dont see how this thing is going to work out...

4 out of 5 eggsworks as advertised

Pros: small, cheap, has a battery

Cons: none i can think of

Other Thoughts: works as advertised, keeps my router and modem up and running when power goes out. wouldnt recommend for keeping a big computer running for more than a couple seconds though.

5 out of 5 eggsGood UPS For Small Devices

Pros: Great for small loads like routers, modems and VoIP phones. My home network has 3 small devices (plug-in type transformers). This UPS Will Not Shut-Off, while some other brands will, if their load is to small. I tested this UPS with my network load, I stopped the test after 20 min. My volt meter read 120vac
@ 60Hz during the whole test. Someday I will test to see how much actual time I have, before I run out of gas.

Cons: 1) This manual, like most manuals is written for more than one product. Sometimes, that all it takes to confuse people. They write manuals like that to save the consumer money and be competitive. Just look at your car manual. Every manual could use more time, some more then others. 2) Beep silence alarm would be useful.

Other Thoughts: I have 3 UPS's in my house. All different sizes, all used on different products, time must be taken to make the right choice. This UPS is a good choice for small loads, that require no auto shut-down signal to the PC.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Affordable, reliable, good number of outlets. Perfect for keeping networking devices like modems, routers, and VoIP phones running during an outage.

Cons: Couldn't keep a PC with a monitor up during a power outage. This is probably why there is no USB to connect it to a PC. A bit bulky for it's capacity.

Other Thoughts: You're crazy if you buy this to keep your dual core, SLI system with dual monitors on battery backup. But if you're looking for something to keep your network up during a power outage, like I was, this works like a charm.

4 out of 5 eggsNo monitoring ports!

Pros: As a standby UPS, it works fine. Can't beat the price.

Cons: If you visit the manufacturer's site, you'll notice they have a free download of their monitoring software, *specifically* for this product. But the XP400 has no USB or RS-232 ports! The product specs describe RS-232 as "optional", yet they don't sell any sort of add-on module to enable this "option".

Other Thoughts: I will not buy this brand again. I consider their product info misleading at best, and possibly outright fraudulent.
