A classic keeps getting better. The TI-84 Plus is an 8 line graphing calculator that is keystroke for keystroke compatible with the previous model but with 3 times the memory and 2.5 times the speed. A USB port and included cable make installing the applications from the CD quick and easy.
The 480K of Flash ROM makes it easy to install and upgrade apps through the USB port. Large problems are handled in the 24K of RAM.
This is the standard that’s used in many schools, as such many teachers and textbooks reference it to help make learning easier. The TI-84 Plus is allowed for use on the PSAT, the SAT Reasoning Test, SAT Subject Tests and Math Level 1 and 2 Tests, AP Chemistry exam, AP Physics exam, and AP Calculus exam.

Excellent Calculator!
- Pros: High Quality, BASIC programming included, tons of Apps (plus the ability to make your own), Calculation and Graphing is very functional, Plus hooking it up to your computer via USB... awesome! Battery life is amazing too!
- Cons: The key arrangement for typing is ABCDEF, not QWERTY... Since I'm used to computers, The QWERTY keyboard is normal to me.
Also wish it had more RAMdisk space and Memory capabilities.
Took a little bit of guesswork to set it up for USB connection... (you need to do this since your files and settings are stored on a RAM disk and your OS is on ROM, just like a Palm Pilot. OS if you COMPLETELY run out of battery, say good bye to all your custom settings and files.)
- Other Thoughts: I needed to get a new calculator since I'm going to be taking Pre-SAT (they have a list of the standard required calculators), and Microsoft Math isn't one of them... :(

- Cons: Unfortunately when I received it today, there was a black smudge inside screen as if someone dropped it. Although the screen works fine it is annoying. But it's probably just a manufacturing defect that they missed. So check MORE OFTEN!
