5 out of 5 eggsTilt stool written review

Pros: The tilt stool was an inticing factor in buying the chair. Love the stool.

Cons: No cons.

Other Thoughts: Make sure the buyer knows there are two boxes. Not that they are in one box as thought. Not so. Two boxes. One for chair and one for tilt stool. Thanks egg nice add on.

4 out of 5 eggsI tried it, I liked it...

Pros: Feels odd at first, but then really comfortable to have your feet up on this rest when at a task chair. Keeps the backs of your knees from being "scrunched" against chair's cushion.

The black rubber non-slip foot rest can be removed to clean it.

It feels solidly built for a home office/lighter duty situation.

Cons: I'm guessing this would not hold up in a rough industrial office environment, but that being said, a SOHO workspace is far different than industrial use.

Biggest con is with me - this is the only footrest I have ever used. I got it along with a chair on a shell shocker deal, otherwise I never would have considered it.

Other Thoughts: I think this will take a lot of strain off the backs of my knees/legs. I sit at my desk for extended periods and one week into it and I'm really enjoying having it.

In my situation my task chair needs to be high enough that my feet are not solidly on the floor, and the back of the seat cushion presses into my legs. With this rest, it is much easier on them, and much easier than balancing my feet on top of the chair's leg spindle.

I plan on continuing to use this.

4 out of 5 eggsImproved leg circulation

Pros: • Comfortable to use
• Very solid construction
• Excellent gripping surface

Cons: • Footrest is a little short in height for person with shorter legs.

Other Thoughts: This item is a great value at the $14.99 sale price, however, I would still recommend it even with the original $29.99 price. I have only been using this item for a few days now but have already noticed significant improvement in leg circulation as a result of using it. Also, it does help keep your back against your chair as well and as always, Newegg's quick processing & free shipping Rocks!

4 out of 5 eggsComfortable, Not perfect.

Pros: -Adjustable height and tilt
-Solid Construction
-Pleasantly gripping surface

Cons: -Only 2 heights
-Tilt control not quite tight enough, tends to 'flop' around a bit.

Other Thoughts: This was a great value when I purchased it on sale at 14.99
At 29.99 I'd be a bit slower to recommend it. I don't know if it's had an 'ergonomic' improvement on my posture, but I feel a bit more comfortable at my desk having an elevated and steady place for my feet other than the sub-woofer.

1 out of 5 eggsUncomfortable, one tilt level

Pros: Cheap - on special

Cons: Was uncomfortable. It said it had 2 levels of tilt, but I could only see one and I am a degreed engineer. After 2 days I decided this was worse than not having it and returned it.

Other Thoughts: I am 5'9" and it was too high due to ineffective tilt.

3 out of 5 eggsSuits my needs

Pros: Keeps your feet elevated just enough to be comfortable.
No slip removable rubber pad. (Pad is removable for cleaning)
Low cost, when purchased on sale
Apparent sturdy construction (time will tell)
Attractive (not unattractive)
Does not scoot around on the floor

Cons: Aside from the elevation of the foot rest, tilt position is not lockable.
Limmited fixed adjustment of platform (could be a huge problem for some)

Other Thoughts: I got this on sale for eighteen bones last week, and it was just what I needed. My office is in the basement where I have a cold tile floor. I needed something that kept my feet off the ground and kept me comfortable. I had been resting my feet on an old sub-woofer, from an ancient set of speakers which was banging the crizap out of my wall. I had enough of that. The cons of this device are small, but worth keeping in mind. Number one, make sure you pay attention to the measurements. When the package arrived, it was much larger than I anticipated but fit well under my desk. From the pictures, I thought it was going to be a lot smaller. Not necessarily a con, but something to pay attention to. Another perceivable con, is the fact that while the height adjustment is, adjustable - it's not vastly adjustable. There are only one or two different elevations available. I would prefer a graduated locking system or something with limitless adjustment in the form of a set screw for fine tuning. Lastly, the platform itself is adjustable as far as pitch is concerned. The problem here is that the pitch adjustment is floating, and has no graduation or stop/lock setting. You might feel like you have the right pitch of the platform to feel comfortable, but the weight of your feet is going to rock the platform as soon as you press them against it. This is not so much a problem for me now, but I can see over time, the joints will get broken in and loose and eventually the platform will become a floppy, sloppy, mess. This is purely conjecture at this point and it may never happen, but sometimes you can just tell by an objects construction. For now, these things are not cons for me, but I can see them being a problem for some people who have a specific idea in mind for this unit. So, is this thing worth the regular price? I would say not really, considering you could make something like this easily out of wood (if you are so inclined...), but for eighteen clams, it's definitely worth a try. It worked out well for me.

5 out of 5 eggsmy feet are at rest

Pros: it works, has a few different angles. my feet don't slide off of it? it's cheap

Cons: it comes in a large box?

Other Thoughts: It's a foot rest. It doesn't appear likely to break. I can't think of any reason not to give it 5 stars but it's also my first work desk foot rest so maybe I don't know any better.
