You know iPod Touch never means a music player only; it’s also an entertainment center. Now it takes fun to the next level!

The iPod Touch now includes the world’s most advanced mobile operating system - iOS 5, which not only contributes to the ease-to-use interface, rock-solid stability, but also gives you over 200 existing new features, including iMessage over Wi-Fi, Twitter Integration, Notification Center at the top of your screen, the world’s most popular Game Center, and more. The features included with iOS 5 make iPod touch even more powerful, innovative, and fun to use.

And, iCloud stores your music, photos, documents, and more and wirelessly pushes them to all your devices. Automatic, effortless, and seamless — with iCloud, whatever’s on your iPod touch is automatically on your other devices, too. Other features include Retina Display, Two Cameras, AirPlay, Games + Apps and etc. iPod Touch now comes in two colors: black and white.

  • newegg iOS 5 Operating System Running the show on every iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad is iOS. It lets you browse, read, and see everything just by touching the screen. It also includes all the fun, powerful, and innovative built-in apps you use every day, many times a day. And the latest version, iOS 5, is packed with over 200 exciting new features that will make you say, “Best. iPod. Ever.”
  • newegg iCloud Thanks to iCloud, your iPod touch has an even tighter bond with your Mac or PC (and your iPhone or iPad). iCloud stores your music, apps, games, latest photos, and more and makes them accessible on your other devices. And it keeps your email, contacts, and calendars up to date across them, too. It’s all automatic. There’s no syncing required, no management required, no anything required. iCloud does the work for you.
  • newegg Retina Display There are lots of reasons you won’t want to take your eyes off iPod touch. The 960-by-640 backlit LCD display, for one. It packs 326 pixels per inch, making it the highest-resolution iPod screen ever. To achieve this, Apple engineers developed pixels so small — a mere 78 micrometers across — that the human eye can’t distinguish individual pixels. Even though you can’t see them, you’ll definitely notice the difference they make. Text is remarkably sharp and graphics are incredibly vivid.
  • newegg Two Cameras iPod touch captures video with two built-in cameras. It shoots amazing HD 720p video from the back camera. And with its advanced backside illumination sensor, it captures beautiful footage even in low-light settings. All while the built-in microphone records conversations, music, or any audio at the same time. And on the front of iPod touch, the built-in camera is perfect for making FaceTime calls and shooting self-portraits. It’s surprising how much fun can fit into something so small.
  • newegg AirPlay Your music, photos, and video — a.k.a. all the great stuff on your iPod touch — can stream wirelessly to an HDTV and speakers. A feature called AirPlay makes it happen. It works with AirPlay-enabled speakers or Apple TV on a Wi-Fi network. Just tap the AirPlay icon on iPod touch and blast some tracks, crack up over photos, or have a YouTube-a-thon. Big time.
  • newegg Music + iTunes When iPod came on the scene years ago, it was all about music. iPod touch is the evolution of that first iPod, but one thing remains the same: It’s still about music. With up to 64GB of storage capacity, iPod touch lets you keep thousands of songs with you all the time. And when your favorite artist drops an album, or you’re feeling like it’s time for some new music, the iTunes Store is just a tap away.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT buy an Apple Product from Newegg

Pros: Too many to list.

Cons: None, for the product. Product is fantastic.

Other Thoughts: I did not notice that this product was a non-refundable purchase. When I went to RMA the iPod, THAT is when I discovered that Newegg has opted to classify this under their "Limited Replacement Only Return Policy," which prohibits the return of this item to Newegg. Once you buy it, either you get an identical replacement or you ust keep the one that you bought, no refunds from this company even on unopened, never-used products.

If you want the iPod touch, go to the manufacturer's website and buy through them. DO NOT buy through Newegg!

4 out of 5 eggsDang Home Button

Pros: Does everything it claims and more. Thin and light, has good battery capacity. Loads of aftermarket support. Smoother than android system im coming from.

Cons: After 4 months of use, the home button is very intermitant. It is a pain to have to push on it repeatedly to get a reaction. Went by the local Apple store, and unless it is completely dead, there is no warranty coverage. The CS guys even said his iP touch is the same.

Other Thoughts: I just hope it does not go completely bad, after warranty runs out. I like it alot, but at $199, im not going to be happy.

Pros: My kids loved getting this "fun" product for Christmas so they could communicate with thier friends and listen to music, play games, etc...

Cons: After 5 months, product started to not perform. Started turning on and off and not functioning properly. Product sent to Apple for warranty work. After having for less than a day, an e-mail was sent saying the IPOD is being returned unrepaired because "it has been subjected to accidental damage or misuse" and is not covered by warranty. I paid for an expensive "otter box" for protection and my daughter treasured this expensive device. It was not misused and the screen is in perfect condition. How sad that Apple is not standing behind their product. No diagnosis as to what the problem is was stated but I can pay them to repair it!

Other Thoughts: I have bought many Apple products but I will avoid purchasing any more of their products in the future. Apple does not value their customers and the IPOD I bought I believe is a manufacturers defect that they are not taking care of. Sad, so sad.... Save your money!

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Runs everything smoothly, no lag at all in the UI or any of the games I've played so far. Battery life is pretty decent as well - the battery drops 2-3% in standby mode over night, most devices drain 20-30%.

Cons: None so far!

Other Thoughts: Would definitely recommend to a friend.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: love that it does almost everything my 3g phone does but way better. It takes better pictures, videos. Sound quality is great. I got the 8G as I don't really load millions of songs or apps on to my players. I even use to facebook between classes from the college's wifi. I think the only thing it doesn't do is make actual phone calls, which is just fine for me. Getting this allowed me to free up ALOT of space on my Sprint Phone though which was great. Love the battery life.

Cons: Songs could be easier to navigate through. I was new to iTunes and that part was a bit complicated. Could be cheaper, especially for an 8G. Problem is that it says 8G in ad, but really only comes with about 6G do to irremovable and useless apps. I don't need Newsstand or Stocks, etc. Volume buttons are a bit hard to press do to the angle they're at. Wish you could adjust button settings so I could turn them into "Next and Previous" song selection buttons. I flip through songs WAY more than I adjust volume.

Other Thoughts: I saw and heard tons of reviews about how easy it is to scratch and crack and after dealing with several cell phones like that, I bought a hard case and protection screens the same shopping trip. Haven't had a problem with it since then, but probably a matter of time before I drop it.

3 out of 5 eggsGo for the AHD plan

Pros: It works. AHD available.

Cons: It's an Apple product. Sexy looking, not drop friendly.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE a case around it. One of mine fell 2 feet and it destroyed the screen.

Other Thoughts: I have to say that the AHD through was awesome. Apple's design stinks as far as I'm concerned. There is absolutely no protection of the glass in case of a drop. Sexy is great until it doesn't work from a measly 2 ft drop.

Again, Newegg's AHD program through is awesome. I highly recommend it for this sensitive product.

5 out of 5 eggsJoining the Apple Cult

Pros: It's an apple, well though out and seems to have few bugs. Till costly given the rest of the market place, but it is quality. 8 Gigs of memory is not enough, would buy the 32 if i had it to do over.

Cons: Battery life is very short, usually about 3-4 hours at best depending on what you are doing.

Other Thoughts: Upgrade to the 32 Gig model, 8 is not enough.

Cons: None, could drop the price some, its he economy thing talking you know
