You know iPod Touch never means a music player only; it’s also an entertainment center. Now it takes fun to the next level!

The iPod Touch now includes the world’s most advanced mobile operating system - iOS 5, which not only contributes to the ease-to-use interface, rock-solid stability, but also gives you over 200 existing new features, including iMessage over Wi-Fi, Twitter Integration, Notification Center at the top of your screen, the world’s most popular Game Center, and more. The features included with iOS 5 make iPod touch even more powerful, innovative, and fun to use.

And, iCloud stores your music, photos, documents, and more and wirelessly pushes them to all your devices. Automatic, effortless, and seamless — with iCloud, whatever’s on your iPod touch is automatically on your other devices, too. Other features include Retina Display, Two Cameras, AirPlay, Games + Apps and etc. iPod Touch now comes in two colors: black and white.

  • newegg iOS 5 Operating System Running the show on every iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad is iOS. It lets you browse, read, and see everything just by touching the screen. It also includes all the fun, powerful, and innovative built-in apps you use every day, many times a day. And the latest version, iOS 5, is packed with over 200 exciting new features that will make you say, “Best. iPod. Ever.”
  • newegg iCloud Thanks to iCloud, your iPod touch has an even tighter bond with your Mac or PC (and your iPhone or iPad). iCloud stores your music, apps, games, latest photos, and more and makes them accessible on your other devices. And it keeps your email, contacts, and calendars up to date across them, too. It’s all automatic. There’s no syncing required, no management required, no anything required. iCloud does the work for you.
  • newegg Retina Display There are lots of reasons you won’t want to take your eyes off iPod touch. The 960-by-640 backlit LCD display, for one. It packs 326 pixels per inch, making it the highest-resolution iPod screen ever. To achieve this, Apple engineers developed pixels so small — a mere 78 micrometers across — that the human eye can’t distinguish individual pixels. Even though you can’t see them, you’ll definitely notice the difference they make. Text is remarkably sharp and graphics are incredibly vivid.
  • newegg Two Cameras iPod touch captures video with two built-in cameras. It shoots amazing HD 720p video from the back camera. And with its advanced backside illumination sensor, it captures beautiful footage even in low-light settings. All while the built-in microphone records conversations, music, or any audio at the same time. And on the front of iPod touch, the built-in camera is perfect for making FaceTime calls and shooting self-portraits. It’s surprising how much fun can fit into something so small.
  • newegg AirPlay Your music, photos, and video — a.k.a. all the great stuff on your iPod touch — can stream wirelessly to an HDTV and speakers. A feature called AirPlay makes it happen. It works with AirPlay-enabled speakers or Apple TV on a Wi-Fi network. Just tap the AirPlay icon on iPod touch and blast some tracks, crack up over photos, or have a YouTube-a-thon. Big time.
  • newegg Music + iTunes When iPod came on the scene years ago, it was all about music. iPod touch is the evolution of that first iPod, but one thing remains the same: It’s still about music. With up to 64GB of storage capacity, iPod touch lets you keep thousands of songs with you all the time. And when your favorite artist drops an album, or you’re feeling like it’s time for some new music, the iTunes Store is just a tap away.

4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Apple MC544LL/A - 32GB iPod Touch w/ Camera (4th Gen)

Pros: WiFi allows you to download apps like steam chat, skype and such. Very fun to use. Plays all my music great, 32GB is plenty to hold everything I need while mobile.

Cons: This isn't really a con, I can't hold it against the product but there's not alot of open WiFi out there so you're cut off from the net more often than not.
I don't really mind since I usually use it at home, but just keep in mind that this is nothing compared to an iPhone with it's 3G internet and GPS system.

The ear buds, well, they suck. Can't be helped. Grab a pair of decent headphones and a converter kit (they're like 4 bucks).

One major con in this product is that it has some limitations as well, internally. You can't position icons however you like, like you would be able to on an iPhone and so organization becomes a chore. Putting apps into quasi-folders is actually more annoying than it is helpful most of the time.

You can't delete iPod native apps (Safari, ew) and I haven't found a way to use a downloaded wallpaper, but that just might be me being stupid.

Other Thoughts: Final thoughts: Well worth the purchase but it has some downsides! Know what you're getting into.

2 out of 5 eggsBroken

This review is from: Apple MC544LL/A - 32GB iPod Touch w/ Camera (4th Gen)

Pros: It's a great device. When it works. Really easy to sinc. etc.

Cons: It broke 1 year and 2 weeks from the day I bought it. Now it's gonna cost me $125 to fix it since they only guarantee their product for 1 year. Must not have a lot of confidence in their products with only a year warranty. And with good reason I suppose.

Other Thoughts: It really needs a new data interface. It's that part that broke. It won't sinc or charge anymore.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this little thing!

This review is from: Apple MC544LL/A - 32GB iPod Touch w/ Camera (4th Gen)

Pros: So many awesome things about the iPod Touch 4, let's see what I can sum up.

The screen is probably the most amazing thing about this device. I compared it side-by-side with an iPhone 3. Before the test, I thought the iPhone screen was pretty nice. When I looked at them both, the iPhone 3 looked extremely pixelated, dark, and fuzzy.

Without a magnifying glass, you can't distinguish one pixel from another on the iPod. This with the brightness set to high gave me a headache the first few times I used it. But now that my eyes have adjusted, I can use it for hours. And with its image quality, I can read on the iPod with it only inches from my face.

The tech potentials on this are really endless. Hardwired, I can play music obviously through any headphones, but also through USB connections, 1/8" audio cables, or through 1/4" speakers with a special cable. With Bluetooth, I can play wirelessly through pre-enabled systems, or with a $40 Bluetooth Receiver, wirelessly through any syst

Cons: A few things I wish Apple had improved.

There's no built-in radio tuner. They can be purchased after-market, but they require using the Apple port.

The chrome backplate is extremely vulnerable to scratching, fixable with a screen cover or case.

The screen is nice feeling, but in just a week, there were two noticeable scratches from light usage. Scratches are to be expected, and a screen cover does remedy this. Be sure to get one BEFORE you order your iPod, for front and back, so this doesn't happen.

Other Thoughts: The shape of the iPod is really nice to hold, but it does make it somewhat difficult to use the volume controls with one hand.

For those who want to use the iPod for a phone also, app-wise you're set. textPLUS is a great choice, with a real number, always free texts, and calls starting at 10c a minute.

The biggest obstacle is having a constant wifi connection. There are no "peels" (cases with 3G/4G receivers) yet for this generation, and MiFi plans are expensive (the cheapest I've found is about $40/month). It's possible, but currently not practical, unless you already spend $50+/month.

If you're looking for: 1) a portable music solution, 2) a toy, or 3) an entertainment center, don't hesititate!! Buy today!!

(Hurray for $270 sale!)

Cons: Apple likes to control there customers with all of there "easy to use stuff" sorry guys, meaning apple and people that like it. but i prefer being able to do my own things sometime.

Other Thoughts: had to knock off two eggs because of apple service but the whole thing in gen is pretty nice

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

This review is from: Apple MC544LL/A - 32GB iPod Touch w/ Camera (4th Gen)

Pros: Super product. With Facetime and other apps it's like having the phone with no monthly fee. Full 1 year warranty, and able to put apple extended warranty on it.

Cons: High price on Newegg.

Other Thoughts: $10 cheaper from Apple Store with free shipping.

3 out of 5 eggsConvenience

This review is from: Apple MC544LL/A - 32GB iPod Touch w/ Camera (4th Gen)

Pros: It is a nifty little gadget with a lot of features and applications. Some applications that, I would probably never use. Yes, the chrome plating on the back does scratch easily, and yes you can easily drop it if not careful, but you can purchase a silicone casing which would prevent such an incident, and a fitted screen protector to prevent scratches to the screen. People this is an electronic device, "Handle with Care".

Cons: The HD Video recording is a joke. It is far from being 720p. Plus when used in a low light setting, there is fuzziness(noise) within the video. Don't expect to use any third party software with this device, it will not be recognized.

Other Thoughts: It's nice, and serves the purpose, but would I buy it again when the next generation is released? Absolutely not, too many limitations. Too ITunes Dependent.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

This review is from: Apple MC544LL/A - 32GB iPod Touch w/ Camera (4th Gen)

Pros: I love this 4th Gen iPod! The camera's are wonderful, Pictures come out very clear and the video comes out in average quality. I chose the 32GB because the 8GB gets full extremely fast and I don't regret paying a bit extra, I added most of my music and a bunch of apps and it's still nowhere near full.

Cons: You can feel the heat after a while. Literally the whole back becomes hot, However I added a protective case by Incipio and can't feel the heat anymore, But it's still there so over heating problems.

Other Thoughts: Stop making iPods! It makes me feel bad having and older model when everyone has a newer one and all they change is little things =/

1 out of 5 eggsExtended Warranty is a joke

This review is from: Apple MC544LL/A - 32GB iPod Touch w/ Camera (4th Gen)

Pros: Ipod works as is advertised, good product, works great with Bluetooth headset.
Apple manufacture warranty works great, my Ipod had a black spot in the screen after 6 months of use and they replace it without questions.

Cons: 5 eggs for the Ipod 32GB, 1 for the Extended Service Plan that I paid extra $75 for warranty that supposed to cover accidental damage. my Ipod felt and the corner of screen is broken also has a crack that goes all the way from top to bottom of screen that where you see videos and pictures. Well the girl from the warranty company said that it is cosmetic issue and will not honor my claim, I spent 15 minutes explaining that the screen is supported for the protected film that as soon as I take it out the screen will fall apart, also I cannot see pictures horizontal, but she insist that will not honor the claim. DON'T PURCHASE EXTENDED WARRANTY it is a RIPOFF

Other Thoughts: Newegg is good with RMAs but they third party warranty is garbage. I will stop buying sensitive electronics in here. Sorry Newegg.
