1 out of 5 eggsSuspicious

Pros: Purchased through Newegg.

Cons: Will not charge, computer doesn't recognize. Possible defective charging port on unit itself. Tried various cables and computers. Suspect this unit is refurbished. I noticed some fine scratches on the back of the unit.

Other Thoughts: Sort of explains why this iPod is so low in price.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: WiFi allows you to download apps like steam chat, skype and such. Very fun to use. Plays all my music great, 32GB is plenty to hold everything I need while mobile.

Cons: This isn't really a con, I can't hold it against the product but there's not alot of open WiFi out there so you're cut off from the net more often than not.
I don't really mind since I usually use it at home, but just keep in mind that this is nothing compared to an iPhone with it's 3G internet and GPS system.

The ear buds, well, they suck. Can't be helped. Grab a pair of decent headphones and a converter kit (they're like 4 bucks).

One major con in this product is that it has some limitations as well, internally. You can't position icons however you like, like you would be able to on an iPhone and so organization becomes a chore. Putting apps into quasi-folders is actually more annoying than it is helpful most of the time.

You can't delete iPod native apps (Safari, ew) and I haven't found a way to use a downloaded wallpaper, but that just might be me being stupid.

Other Thoughts: Final thoughts: Well worth the purchase but it has some downsides! Know what you're getting into.

2 out of 5 eggsBroken

Pros: It's a great device. When it works. Really easy to sinc. etc.

Cons: It broke 1 year and 2 weeks from the day I bought it. Now it's gonna cost me $125 to fix it since they only guarantee their product for 1 year. Must not have a lot of confidence in their products with only a year warranty. And with good reason I suppose.

Other Thoughts: It really needs a new data interface. It's that part that broke. It won't sinc or charge anymore.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this little thing!

Pros: So many awesome things about the iPod Touch 4, let's see what I can sum up.

The screen is probably the most amazing thing about this device. I compared it side-by-side with an iPhone 3. Before the test, I thought the iPhone screen was pretty nice. When I looked at them both, the iPhone 3 looked extremely pixelated, dark, and fuzzy.

Without a magnifying glass, you can't distinguish one pixel from another on the iPod. This with the brightness set to high gave me a headache the first few times I used it. But now that my eyes have adjusted, I can use it for hours. And with its image quality, I can read on the iPod with it only inches from my face.

The tech potentials on this are really endless. Hardwired, I can play music obviously through any headphones, but also through USB connections, 1/8" audio cables, or through 1/4" speakers with a special cable. With Bluetooth, I can play wirelessly through pre-enabled systems, or with a $40 Bluetooth Receiver, wirelessly through any syst

Cons: A few things I wish Apple had improved.

There's no built-in radio tuner. They can be purchased after-market, but they require using the Apple port.

The chrome backplate is extremely vulnerable to scratching, fixable with a screen cover or case.

The screen is nice feeling, but in just a week, there were two noticeable scratches from light usage. Scratches are to be expected, and a screen cover does remedy this. Be sure to get one BEFORE you order your iPod, for front and back, so this doesn't happen.

Other Thoughts: The shape of the iPod is really nice to hold, but it does make it somewhat difficult to use the volume controls with one hand.

For those who want to use the iPod for a phone also, app-wise you're set. textPLUS is a great choice, with a real number, always free texts, and calls starting at 10c a minute.

The biggest obstacle is having a constant wifi connection. There are no "peels" (cases with 3G/4G receivers) yet for this generation, and MiFi plans are expensive (the cheapest I've found is about $40/month). It's possible, but currently not practical, unless you already spend $50+/month.

If you're looking for: 1) a portable music solution, 2) a toy, or 3) an entertainment center, don't hesititate!! Buy today!!

(Hurray for $270 sale!)

3 out of 5 eggsPretty nice

Pros: love the way how it connects to bluetooth, wi-fi, and other wireless things.
fast to use when it comes to music!!!
holds a great amout of data
good quality photos!!

Cons: Apple likes to control there customers with all of there "easy to use stuff" sorry guys, meaning apple and people that like it. but i prefer being able to do my own things sometime.

Other Thoughts: had to knock off two eggs because of apple service but the whole thing in gen is pretty nice

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: Super product. With Facetime and other apps it's like having the phone with no monthly fee. Full 1 year warranty, and able to put apple extended warranty on it.

Cons: High price on Newegg.

Other Thoughts: $10 cheaper from Apple Store with free shipping.

3 out of 5 eggsConvenience

Pros: It is a nifty little gadget with a lot of features and applications. Some applications that, I would probably never use. Yes, the chrome plating on the back does scratch easily, and yes you can easily drop it if not careful, but you can purchase a silicone casing which would prevent such an incident, and a fitted screen protector to prevent scratches to the screen. People this is an electronic device, "Handle with Care".

Cons: The HD Video recording is a joke. It is far from being 720p. Plus when used in a low light setting, there is fuzziness(noise) within the video. Don't expect to use any third party software with this device, it will not be recognized.

Other Thoughts: It's nice, and serves the purpose, but would I buy it again when the next generation is released? Absolutely not, too many limitations. Too ITunes Dependent.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: I love this 4th Gen iPod! The camera's are wonderful, Pictures come out very clear and the video comes out in average quality. I chose the 32GB because the 8GB gets full extremely fast and I don't regret paying a bit extra, I added most of my music and a bunch of apps and it's still nowhere near full.

Cons: You can feel the heat after a while. Literally the whole back becomes hot, However I added a protective case by Incipio and can't feel the heat anymore, But it's still there so over heating problems.

Other Thoughts: Stop making iPods! It makes me feel bad having and older model when everyone has a newer one and all they change is little things =/
