The 6th generation iPod nano: the newly released model has been completely redesigned with Multi-Touch — the same technology that makes iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch so amazing. In sleek anodized aluminum and seven bright colors, iPod nano features a 1.4-inch color display with 240-by-240 pixel resolution. It's tiny yet stunning. And the built-in clip keeps your music moving with you.

iPod nano the 6th generation features Genius as your personal DJ, along with a built-in FM radio, VoiceOver that speaks 29 languages, a pedometer, an optional Nike + iPod Sport Kit, and more.

Now it’s half the size and even easier to play with its multi-touch interface. Everything about the new iPod nano is a huge hit. Be the first of your friends to get the latest nano!

  • newegg Ridiculously Smaller Than Ever You would think it is impossible for Nano to be any smaller than the 5th generation back in 2009. Now, Apple has once again pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in the industry. The 6th generation iPod nano is 46 percent smaller and 42 percent lighter than its tiny predecessor. Spooky or what? Built in the perfect size for a tap or a swipe, iPod nano 6th generation let your fingertips feel right at home.
  • newegg Gorgeous Multi-touch Display Adopting the same multi-touch interface from iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices, the 6th generation iPod nano allows you to navigate your music collection by simply tapping or swiping a finger on the touch screen. You can even rearrange the icons on your Home screen so your music is organized just how you like.
  • newegg Play All Day and All Night The built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery gives you up to 24 hours of nonstop music. So when you clip on an 8GB or 16GB iPod nano, you’ll have plenty of tunes to make it through your commute, your workout, and beyond.
  • newegg Genius, the Music Mixmaster Say you’re listening to a song you love and you want to stay in the groove. Just tap Genius. It finds other songs on your iPod nano that go great together and makes a Genius playlist for you. For more song combinations you wouldn’t have thought of yourself, create Genius Mixes in iTunes and sync the ones you like to your iPod nano. Then tap the Genius Mixes icon and rediscover songs you haven’t heard in a while — or find music you forgot you even had.
  • newegg Radio Nano Ride the airwaves on iPod nano. The FM tuner shows the artist, song, or program you’re listening to. Just tap to see the radio controls, flick the radio dial to change stations, and tap to set your favorites. You can pause and rewind up to 15 minutes of any radio broadcast with its amazing Live Pause feature.
  • newegg Stay Fit with Every Step iPod nano doubles as a pedometer, which makes it the ideal exercise partner. It keeps track of your steps and helps you meet your fitness goals. Just clip it on and walk on. You can create a daily step goal and check your progress when you upload all your data to the Nike+ website.

4 out of 5 eggsprice drop AFTER I bought it!

Pros: small/light and very portable
pretty big capacity for everyday music
touchscreen is nice
fits into my iPod nano wriststrap like a glove (bought separately)
love watch feature and the 18 built in styles
FM radio
built in pedometer (yes now you can laugh)

Cons: won't make coffee or do dishes

Other Thoughts: -the only way it will "hold a charge all day and all night" as advertised, is if you don't TURN IT ON. false advertising if I ever saw it.

5 out of 5 eggsWife loves this iPod nano

Pros: Consistent with operation of other iPods which makes it easy to operate. The headphones seem to be a better fit. She loves the sound...especially with the Bose headphones. The touch screen takes a little getting used to but is very user-friendly. 16GB provides plenty of room for her varied interests in music.

Cons: Stopping or shutting down the unit is confusing. Although you can turn off the screen, the iPod may still be running thus wearing the battery down. There should be a way to shut it down with one touch.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It plays music...

Cons: It's really sad to see what Apple has done to the Nano. I can't really tell what they were thinking, or how they can consider the 6th gen. Nano a good thing... The only thing I can think of is they want to move customers over to the more expensive Touch, and are willing to sacrifice a perfectly good product. I *was* hoping the 6th gen Nano would also include AM radio, but alas... I guess I'll be holding on to my older Nanos, as I expect the resale price for them to go up.

Other Thoughts: Really, Apple should have renamed the 6th gen. Nano "The New Shuffle", and the original shuffle as "The Shuffle Junior".

5 out of 5 eggshappy_user

Pros: Great size. Simple controls. Does what it was designed for Love the touchscreen.

Cons: Battery life could be longer

Other Thoughts: I use it while I exercise. It's light and small enough not to get in the way. I mainly use it for playing music and pod-casts. I've got a gen 5 and prefer the gen 6. I use it through the week and recharge it on the weekend.

1 out of 5 eggsSub-Standard

Pros: It's small.

Cons: This product is the worst. Apple needs to go back to the previous model, or price this at about $49.99. The touch screen is difficult to use, and it is near impossible to scroll to a song that is more than 25 songs away. The battery constantly discharges, so battery life is very limited. Most of the nice features from the previous model are gone for this model, yet the pricing is the same.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend this product to anyone. I have the previous model Nano (5th Gen), and three Classics, and all are light years superior to this Nano. I especially love the 5th Gen Nano.

5 out of 5 eggsDefeats the very existence of the Shuffle....

Pros: don't own one so, non

Cons: don't own one so, non

Other Thoughts: Don't own one, but don't you all think this defeats to very purpose of existence of the the iPod Shuffles??? I mean the new Nano's are just as big as the Shuffle's are now really is is like an iPod Shuffle Touch.
