Apple MC694LL/A - 16GB iPod nano (6th Gen) Graphite

Pros: Small size/low weight

Sound is marginally better on the 6g than previous nanos.

Cons: Touch screen. I had doubts about it but thought i'd get used to it. After 5 months, i find i'm still hitting the wrong place on the sceen & getting into the wrong folders. Moreover, most operations require at least two steps: turn on the screen, then poke at the screen to get the thing to do what one wants. The extra step & the errors mean it takes me longer to navigate on the ipod 6g than it did with the old click wheel ipods.

Have to use iTunes with this thing. It was possible to use iTunes alternatives with older ipods. I like to rip & convert to mp3 with lame, but it gets tedious to rip, convert, fire up iTunes & then import & copy to ipod. I end up not bothering & the ipod 6g gets less & less use.

Pros: -My girlfriend really likes it (I live with her so keeping her happy is one of my priorities).
-Has lots of cool features like a radio recorder so you can pause, rewind, etc. just like a DVR on your TV (Even I had to admit that was cool).
-Screen orientation and display is very customizable.

Cons: -Some of my money went to Steve Jobs.
-I hate that I love this thing, and I don't even own it necessarily.
-This thing gets lost in a large purse (handbag, I have no idea what it is) very easily and can cause a lot of intense swearing.

Other Thoughts: Just a great little gizmo that exceeded my expectations.

Pros: Nice and small with enough space for me. relatively light compared to previous gen nano. Sound is good, new menu system isn't that hard to navigate. Latest update actually does allow you to turn it off, just hold the top right button for a few seconds.

Cons: battery life is still ok. Several new software features that i don't really need or want.

Other Thoughts: Battery life does seem like it can be extended by changing some of the settings. Not sure how much it will really help though.

Pros: The size is amazing -- about the size of a wide matchbook. Very light. Touchscreen and commands are very intuitive. Fast recharge. 16GB!

Cons: Can't think of any yet. I hope the battery isn't the usual c_r_a_p Apple batteries of yore.

Pros: Nice and small, does exactly what you want it to do, nothing else.

Cons: Shipping took 10 days

Other Thoughts: I bought it here for the low price, but the week and a half it takes to arrive makes the money saved not worth it.

Pros: Makes awesome watch, upload songs, ebooks, and pics. On top of that it has watch on wake feature to use as watch, stopwatch and timer.

Cons: Only 2 watch skins, black and white. Hope some new skins come out in the future, was hoping for digital, more options for gadgets on the watch face, you know...

Also, you need headphones on or device plugged into speakers if you want to use the timer, if it would at least vibrate or even play a tune that we can personalize it would be more useful.

Other Thoughts: It would be nice to have some themes for the icons as well as new clock skins.

Pros: I love it. It holds over 2,000 songs, and it easily clips onto clothing, so on an airplane it is easy to get up and walk about without leaving something behind! Highly recommend it.

Pros: Yes. Small, lightweight. FM radio. Great Storage capacity. Easy as any ipod to use. A Nifty little device.

Cons: My Nano worked for 31 days before it stopped charging. I have tried every way I can think of to get this thing going again. ihome, USB from my Mac, iphone wall charger - nothing is working. I have no idea why this has happened.

Other Thoughts: A hundered and eighty bucks for just over a month is a little steep for me.

Pros: Clip on anywhere, 16GB capacity, super small and lightweight, touch screen, in-line remote for volume and voice over on headphones, external volume and hold buttons, standard 30-pin USB connector

Cons: No external or in-line skip button

Other Thoughts: This thing is awesome. 16GB's is enough for about 3000 songs, clip anywhere and the option to orientate the screen any which way is really great. I really wish there were a "skip song" button on it somewhere. To skip the song you have to press the hold button to turn the screen on, and press the forward arrow on the screen. It may not sound like a huge deal, but I'm sure every accidentally forgets to uncheck a couple songs they didn't want on their iPod, and when the screen is clipped on in an inconvenient or unreachable spot on your person, getting to the screen to skip to the next song can be a hassle. No complaints otherwise.
