2 out of 5 eggsLoved it but after two months it is already messed up

Pros: Small, light, decent menus, easy to use

Cons: The audio input has begun shifting on me from the inside. Consequently, the audio shorts out very easily. This is super frustrating. It only works perfectly if I hold the audio cable in a very precise way in relation to the device. I did not abuse it in anyway prior to the malfunction.

Other Thoughts: Loved it until something very simple and beyond my control malfunctioned. I would not recommend this to others.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Running Device

Pros: I use this device in my car, gym, snowboarding, outdoor running.

I originally purchased for trail running- because I didn't want a bulky mp3 player swinging around in my pocket or strapped to my bicep. It is small and weighs almost nothing.

It quality of playback isn't horrible. Real easy to use, expandable microSDHC slot...

Cons: Maybe I'm too rough on it - but I've been through 2 of these things so far.

The first one lasted 3.5 years. But also I'm pretty active with it... not just walking to the metro or sitting on a train.

Other Thoughts: screen scratches pretty easily - might consider a protective film for it...

shiny black = lots of finger prints

4 out of 5 eggsThe TRUE review :)

Pros: This awesome little mp3 player is perfect for the person on the go, or for a stay at home person. It's the perfect size to carry in your pocket or stow away in your purse or bag. And I really like the headphones that come with it! They have great sound and they wined up perfectly around it so it can go in its cute little case. I love that thing! It protects it from scratches and dirt.
I also really like how you can put Slot Radio or put a SD card in it. So you can make the memory as big as you want!!! My advice would be to get the one with the smallest memory and then get a memory card, it's much more useful that way.
You can listen to and record radio, and your voice which comes in handy a lot. it also has a nice screen that you can adjust the brightness on.

Cons: They vary in quality. I used to have one and just got another. My old one was just perfect, nothing ever went wrong with it. My new one very often erases the ratings that you put on it. One day I'll look in my 'top rated' list and everything will be there, the next, nothing will. Also on mine, the buttons are a bit on the loud side.

Other Thoughts: Don't worry to much about the cons, this is a great little thing for everyone and I wouldn't want any other kind.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome player / Works with LInux OTB

Pros: Excellent support for open formats, flac and ogg
Fantastic sound quality
Works with Linux out-of-the-box
Expandable storage

Cons: It doesn't wash my car

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a highly portable player that supports open formats and Linux - this is the device.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat mp3 player

Pros: -Long battery life. I use it for about 10 hours a day and it doesn't eat through much more than half the batter
-Very sturdy. Can take a good drop without any problems.
-Small, but not so small that it's easy to lose. Just right for fitting in a pocket.

Cons: -Screen scratches very easily. Definitely spend a few extra bucks to get a screen protector!

Other Thoughts: Despite the screen scratches, I really enjoy this mp3 player and think it was well worth the money spent.

4 out of 5 eggsgood while it lasted

Pros: easy to use interface, good price, a good ipod alternative

Cons: mine had a defective battery. i made sure i charged it fully the first time i used it, but it only lasted 5 hours max. i got an RMA and sent it back without a problem, but there were no more in stock so i got my money back. overall good experience with newegg

Other Thoughts: the cloth case it comes with isnt enough, it tears and the player still gets scratched. there are cheap cases you can buy for it for 2 or 3 dollars

4 out of 5 eggsOverall pleased!

Pros: Incredibly long battery time. (They claim 24 hours of audio playing before needing to be recharged. I have not tested that but it does seem conceivable.) Good audio quality. Decent UI. It pretty much does everything - audio, podcasts, voice recorder, video, FM radio, images - all at a very reasonable price.

Cons: Video and pictures have to be loaded through their wretched application. The application crashes and is very slow and that is the reason I downgraded this one by one egg. FM radio quality is not great.

Other Thoughts: Proprietary connector. It would have been nice to have a standard mini or micro USB instead.

5 out of 5 eggscant beat the price

Pros: Cheap, Quality, Capable, Great sound, etc.

Cons: While it has its fair share of usb errors that tend to get on the nerves, ive yet to run across any problems that weren't user-fault.

Included driver software is trash, be sure to avoid it.

Other Thoughts: When it comes to mp3 players, sansa has never let me down, my previous mp3 player (e280), the predecessor to this mp3 player lasted me nearly 5 years of 3 hours a day use minimum before it finally gave out. I got one of these, and ive loved it ever since. Im buying a second one just because its on sale.

Good luck doing that with an Ipod.

4 out of 5 eggssolid, stable, and cheap

Pros: Playlists work great. WMP11 and 12 are excellent programs, despite what others say. I love having the same playlist structure on windows as my fuze. This thing handles large playlists quite nicely. I have several playlists that exceed 200 songs. it takes about 5-8 secs to load them.

The go list is a nice feature, you can make a playlist (up to 200 songs on the latest firmware update-50 on older ones prior to v 1.02.xx) right on the player. great for trips.

Audio playback is clear and this has a great DSP>makes the songs on it sound wider and clearer in addition to several EQ presets+one custom.Even 128Kbps files sound good.

barrty life is decent and best at 128Kbps-192Kbps mp3 files, and 15% display brightness. I can get 18-22 hours with custom EQ engaged. I get 4.5 hours of video playback.

Video support is nice. Used an app called SUPER to re-encode, then
used SMC to put on the player, works great. Video and audio sync work great.

SD support is a HUGE plus.

Cons: Now the only flaws I see (that could easily be fixed in a firmware update) are the following:

The UI isn't very customizable, you only get to choose from a handful of BG colors, more colors would be nice. You only have pink, blue, bluegreen, another shade of blue, orange, and green.

also would like to have detailed stats on playlists like total play time, total file size of playlist, etc...

Also, in the info screen >settings>system settings>info would show the total play time of all music.

inability to zoom in on photos in the picture viewer. this could extend the use of the player drastically for having maps and directions or stories and articles stored on it.

Pros: Relatively cheap, free shipping, expandable, easy to use interface, good battery life, USB data transfer works well with Windows and Linux.

Cons: Can not magically grow a ficus.
