5 out of 5 eggsVery nice player

Pros: It came in pristine condition, so pretty I didn't want to get finger prints all over it. The Piano black finish is very sharp looking. Sounds great, stock headphones aren't the best, don't fit me right but aftermarket, wow sounds very good. There is an EQ, FM radio, plays video which works well. I love mine.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I immediately bought an acrylic cover to keep the device from getting scratched, it looks far to good to abuse it. My battery lasts for many hours, all day on MP3's, radio uses more as does the back light if constantly using it. I also got a car charger and a wall socket charger from the big A-e-store. Would buy again and just might get one for a gift.

2 out of 5 eggsThe Replacement

Pros: Small sized, intuitive controls, no need to install drivers as it uses generic.

Cons: The freakin clip broke. Cheap freakin clip.

Other Thoughts: I bought this freakin thing to replace my old freakin MP3 but the freakin clip broke on that freakin thing. So now I have two freakin broke freakin MP3 freakin players with broke freakin clips. It renders the entire purchase practically useless since all I freakin do is run with the freakin thing.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat MP3 player

Pros: Great MP3 player in general. Good sound*, looks new but already had music on it,

Cons: factory earbuds sound tinny, replaced with skullcandy

Other Thoughts: Probably the best bang for your buck in the mp3 player dept. Hope to buy another for the wife if/when they come back into stock.

4 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: - Can play FLAC files, and Audible books if you're into that sort of thing.

- Can install Rockbox.

- It just works. I know that's a pretty simple pro but it'll do what you want it to do without paying over $200 for an Apple logo on the back.

- Can handle up to a 32GB MicroSDHC card for a whopping 40GB total.

Cons: - The headphone jack is on the bottom of the device.

- I would've preferred a traditional, separate, power button and hold button. It can be slightly difficult to turn the device on and off with a protective skin or case around it.

Other Thoughts: I bought this re-certified and it works perfectly, looks and feels brand new. You can install Rockbox on this device which is much better than the original SanDisk firmware. For those who are wondering, this came with the Ver. 1 firmware.

5 out of 5 eggsnothing wrong with it

Pros: works as advertised. looks and sounds new. after a couple days fiddling around with it, have had it in my car ever since. so far 5 days a week to-from work and back 20 minutes one way has lasted over 2 weeks without needing to be recharged.

Cons: doesn't seem to charge on a stand-alone powered hub or high powered usb port unless the host controller is activated, ie recognized by a running OS. There's a newer firmware, and maybe it fixes this, no mention in release notes though. haven't bothered flashing yet Not really a big deal but wanted to charge from cig lighter adapter.

Other Thoughts: have only used audio, no movies.

5 out of 5 eggsNice MP3 Player

Pros: - Easy menu system
- Good sound quality for MP3 playback
- Lots of options

Cons: - Refresh time (after updating your MP3 files) is excessive, especially as your file count increases (~12gb takes about 5 minutes for me)

Other Thoughts: BLUE RING OF DEATH? I have seen it every so often but have always just held the ON/OFF slider to the UP position for 10-20 seconds and it always turns off for me.

I strongly recommend you locate & download & run the Sansa Updater program to keep the firmware up to date.

2 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for.

Pros: Cool looking.Intuitive operation.SD memory card slot-up to 16 Gb more.

Cons: If you touch this thing,it stops playing, displays "REFRESHING MEDIA"
When that's done, your menu displays like you just turned it on.
Very annoying. The wheel sticks like many other customer's experience.Don't expect to listen without interruption.Never gonna happen.

Other Thoughts: I started with a couple of Sansa Clip's.They worked great.
By going to the Fuze,I spent much more to get less.
There's a reason for so many refurb units on the market.

5 out of 5 eggsNot bad at all.

Pros: Lightweight, small, holds a charge for a long time, MicroSD card slot for memory upgrade, popular OS mods exist

Cons: Video screen's kind of small, so if you care a lot about the video function that's an issue; screen also smudges easily

1 out of 5 eggssandisk mp3 player

Pros: Easy use, sound quality, relative huge capacity

Cons: Broke in a week. The wheel stops working ( said to be blue ring of death syndrome).

Other Thoughts: First time bought recertified, thought the recertified player would outlive the battery. wrong. I am still hopeful that I get a replacement without the disease of blue ring of death from newegg.

I'll think twice the next time for recertified gauge.

1 out of 5 eggsBlue Ring

Pros: It is the best until it works. It may depend on your luck!

Cons: The known 'Death ring' issue. I have purchased 4 Sansas of various sizes. All of them are dead within a year. I am not exaggerating here. And all of them were refurbished ones. They all died after warranty period. I have tried formatting it through UBUNTU and I still can't do it. Sandisk has no resolution of this issue even after many years of this issue first reported. Go google - Blue ring of death- Sansa player and see how many are affected by this.
